This is a public museum & cemetery as well as a military school; so obviously security isn't going to be on par with an active base such as the dockyard. Despite this there are MPs and duty staff that regularly patrol the grounds every day.nnStaff are friendly & the instructors are great. There are preserved historical buildings as well as weaponry used from almost every era of the Canadian navy's history, some, such as admiralty house, date back to the 1800s.nnA fantastic representation of the canadian navy's evolution amongst one of the oldest and part of the largest military insulations in this country.
Lots of partying, drinking and loose women!! Was great as young 21 yr old navy man.nLol.. Stephanie ;nActually I was there... and CFB Windsor Park. Love Halifax... in the summer!
The biggest military base in Canada. Very organized.
Open gates, drive on and go where you like, no one to stop you. Shameful. Buildings in disrepair, and junk everywhere. Shameful.
