Honestly don’t even bother going here - if Arrima Quebec places you here for your French lessons, try to find a different school! I have had the worst experience with this school at every turn and it has been the most frustrating process. When registering after having to wait around for an hour I brought my birth certificate only to be told that my home town “wasn’t a city” and that I had to pick another place for them to put otherwise my application would “be rejected”? I was also apparently supposed to receive some pink slip of paper to help place me into a class but never did!nnAfter registering, I received an email giving me two room numbers to attend: I went to both class rooms and wasn’t on either list. So, I had to be reevaluated and re-placed by the centre into a different classroom. This means that I missed the entire first week of class in my appropriate level and now feel completely lost and behind!nnSuch a disorganized centre where so many of the staff seem to 1 not know what’s going on 2 not care about being nice or helpful to any of the students. The blonde receptionist with glasses is maybe the worst and actually made me cry and break down to the point that the director had to take me into her office! Bonus points to the director for being nice and humane and understanding - she’s a real one. The teachers are kind and friendly and want you to learn the language but the seemingly impenetrable and senseless bureaucracy of the centre ruins it!nnSave your time and energy and mental health and please just go somewhere else to learn French! This place is a mess. I wish I could give 0 stars but 1 is the lowest option.
Worst school you can choose to learn french choose different school dont bother to request here we registered here and checked with staff for classes and when we reached to attend classes they said your name is not on the list. They said either postpon or choose another school like we dont care attitude. They really dont care about you they dont even know what they are doing messed my file and waiting from 6 months still no school and trying to get another school. So worst dont choose it DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL THANKS ME LATER
Few years ago, I had this obese lady, quebecoise, as teacher, wore this strange looking maskara, had black hair, kind of all over the place. She would say she would make apple pie and that she then collected going around the class as a tired person, 2 dollars from each and every student. She comes to me, I say I am not going to eat, she then becomes intimidating to pay up. This school although some of the teachers are good, there are staffs that take advantage of the immigrants that it receives. The staffs are very shallow minded somewhat ignorant and racist but there are some teachers that are good and do their job well.
I don’t know about their teaching methods, but my inscription day wasn’t very well. I went there at 10 am, and it took 4 hours to finish the test, have the results and registering for the class. A worker with whom I had to talk about my results told me,’ the problem in Montreal is having a lot of languages, ’ referring to the immigrants. Also, I felt judged by her comments. If somebody goes there to learn better, there is no need to criticize people of their French level or capability of speaking it. **If you could go to another Center, try it, don’t waste your time there.
They care about you! Very friendly staff and caring and active teachers. You gonna enjoy learning French and making new friends. Very well equipped and clean classes. They even offer free services like filling your french application, helping you with preparing french CV, etc. Highly recommended..
