Super service
I would like to give less than 5 stars. Agency nurse = 100% incompetence
We wait too long in the waiting room, more than 12 hours minimum for about 4 people waiting and the services are very long too, I would have already left in Quebec and upstream third day it is already almost 9 am and they do not give me my x-ray which would have been a quick thing to do especially after my start of 5th day without eating. The only positive thing is that the staff in the hospital are great, they try to do their best but I think there is a serious lack of staff here to help them more.
It is impossible to understand the French of the people at reception who take calls, so it is impossible to have adequate health service and to be referred to the right person. This position is not for everyone; they must be able to understand and speak French and not a semblance of French.
The worst hospital I've ever seen. Let me explain: Two people in my family went to this hospital for urgent care. 1 One ended up waiting days for liver stones and then being transferred to Quebec to remove a stuck stone, then upon arriving in Quebec the stone had passed so she returned to Sept-Îles to finally wait another week! Knowing that stones can be very painful, I find that very ordinary. Then they schedule an appointment for the procedure, she waits ALL DAY only to be rescheduled for the next day? Then when she wakes up she was supposed to be fasting and she did it but no one is made the same way she notices that she has dry vomit on her face and the nurses yell at her as if she did it on purpose. Then they don't help her get out of bed at all, don't give her her things under the bed and they make fun of her. 2 The second person is old and had serious skin problems. They made her wait so long that when they saw her the person was hospitalized very rare in skin problems it goes without saying that during the wait she had a good delirium and is still delirious but let's continue with her hospitalization. She had bandages all over her body to avoid any worsening. The bandages had to be changed twice a day and she went 3 days without changing the dressings. Basically infections, nurses who don't care about people and incredibly poor management. If you have to go to the hospital for serious things, go to Baie-comeau or Quebec for pity's sake!
