My father was housed at the Tracy Accommodation Center until his death. I would like to offer my very sincere thanks for the empathetic, caring services that the staff provided to my father. For some, I even had the feeling that they acted as if it were their own father.nnInitially, my father, suffering from Parkinson's with dementia, was placed in a double room due to lack of free room. Being a priority on the list, he was offered a room in another establishment. My mother, who was then responsible for decisions, refused. She was so satisfied with the good services that she preferred that he stay in a double room until a single room became available within the establishment. We have never regretted this choice.nnEvery day the staff dressed him and brought him into the common room. There were music shows every week, bingo, etc. Although my father sometimes suffered bouts of dementia, the staff were always very patient with him.nnI lack words to express my gratitude to the staff. Of course, we would have liked his cognitive quality to allow us to keep him at home. But it was impossible in his situation. Given the circumstances, I can only say that I am grateful that chance placed our father in this accommodation and that he was able to be in this environment for the end of his life.
I would like to thank on my behalf and my entire family all the medical, nursing, auxiliary and attendant staff for your good care. During the many years that my father resided at this place I noticed that my father was very spoiled by all the staff. A very big thank you and continue your very essential work.
A very bad experience, don't go. When you feel weak, they will cut off your food and water, and after a few hours you will die. This is the new policy of these doctors. So after 86 years you are likely to die if you are there. So stay in your home and eat properly with people who visit you and love you.
My brother-in-law, Sylvain Toutant, died yesterday, January 21. I say a big thank you to the nurses of the Myosotis unit who in my eyes are angels who help us get through this difficult time. I also want to mention the doctor who signed the death certificate, Dr. Marie-Eve Bergeron who took the trouble to call us this afternoon to offer us her condolences. What a beautiful human gesture. THANK YOU A THOUSAND TIMES.
The staff was very attentive to their customers and that's what I like to see in CHSLDs.
