Field quality is very poor. Lots of raised spots on the turf so we were just happy to get out of there without any major ankle or knee injuries to our players. There are washrooms in building next to the Field/Dome entrance however, they are not in great condition. Hopefully they'll invest in new turf but until then, avoid this facility if you can. If you must go here, there's a free parking lot at 187 Borden St which is just on the other side of the building next to the dome.
Central Tech is a great spot for games — solid field and you even get that CN Tower view in the background, which makes everything look way better for videos. Just be careful with the runners though, they move fast around the track so you’ve got to stay aware while playing.
It is up to 35°C outside. In this heat, exercising shirtless is not about comfort, it is about safety. Preventing people from removing their shirts while exercising can increase the risk of overheating, dehydration, and heat-related illness. Rules should be reasonable and should not put people’s health at risk.
My child goes running there and had a lot of fun! There were also other groups running there such as the high school CTAC group. I was walking around mean while and was looking around. It was a very beautiful day and I recommend walking around. I loved the neighborhood and I also stoped by a Italian cafe. I also saw a car with vines inside it.
