Called this evening to see if there was a doctor in emergency as sprit river is closer for us opposed to GP. The ER nurse was an absolute cow & judging from others comments it seems to be the norm
We live in between this hospital and gp. So after having nothing but bad experiences at gp we come here. I was here the other night Monday 29th and was treated with compassion. I had the most wonderful male nurse that had me laughing and forgetting about my pain. The doctor and x-ray staff as well were so awesome! I have been coming here for 14yrs and not once have I ever been mistreated. Best hospital I've ever been to in my 50's.
Went to this complex with my handicapped amputee father, no wheel chair in emergency entrance, had to go to reception desk and was literally ignored for 7 mins by a red haired older nurse who stared at the computer screens and didnt acknowledge me at all. Had to talk to the janitor and she told a young nurse who came and brought out a wheel chair for us. Processing was decent, went into the room with a male nurse, mid 30s dark brown hair, blue eyes, who aggressively took my fathers blood pressure and asked his questions with a clear disdain in his voice. This same nurse was also the one who removed my fathers bandages on his amputated leg and was so rough and man handled my fathers stump he was making my father cry out in pain. It didnt seem to register that was he was doing was hurting my father even more. This nurse or attending then rushed off and we sat in the room for 45 mins before the doctor came in. She looked at my fathers leg, and quite literally took pictures of it, then left for another 20 mins... it was a horrible experience, worst bedside manner and patient care I have ever witnessed. We ended up leaving without any care for my fathers amputated leg because we were treated so poorly and left in the room for long periods of time without any care.nDiscusting experience for a center in our local community.
Worst red haired old bat of a nurse I think, exists. the one that looks like short , fat Rene Zelweiger The other nurse ran multiple times with the needle hitting everything but veins, when he did after the antibiotics were sent through, the protective glove in which protects the patient from having the iv line come out, was rammed home and ripped the IV out and blew the only vein he could hit. It was literally the size of a boat! . ..nnOhnMynGawd!.
Probably the worst hospital in Alberta. Roxanne is a horrible person and the way people are treated here is dispicable
