Centennial Arena

The employees in the ice galaxy are very rude and racist to figure skaters even when we aren’t figure skating. If you are looking for a place to train DO NOT COME HERE. They do have figure skating sessions but those are very short and somehow hockey skaters are allowed on. But some skaters here are really niceexcept the employees. Overall I do not recommend this place as a figure skater but if you’re js skating for fun then maybe.

Well maintained place. My kid enjoy coming her for swimming and dancing. However, the swimming instructor was a waste of time. He was simply wasting time during the lessons. I visited other places for my kid. They are taking efforts and teaching her and correcting mistakes. However, this idiot was more interested in blaming others and peeping into other people’s lessons. It’s a waste of time and money. Really disappointing. I am referring to a guy who always wear a pink shorts. I don’t want to reveal his name or anything. 2 star is only for the overall cleanliness and maintenance.

Well organized and clean recreation center!! Kids enjoy being there. Thanks to caring staff, instructors, caretakers, operators and people of the community. I forgot/dropped my mobile there, somebody submitted at office and they kept it nicely, labeled with date and exact time. Simply great !!

Lots going on at this recreation complex. A Scarborough fixture for many years it remains a busy part of the community. On site is a hockey arena complete with lots of seating and a separate entrance. There is also an indoor pool that offers many activities from swimming lessons to recreational swimming. Another rink features the Ice Galaxy, home of Scarborough figure skating club and offering recreational skating at certain times. This rink has an enclosed gallery overlooking the rink which is warm and spacious. In the entrance way there is a snack bar open only during certain hours and a small sitting area with tables. Washrooms are available in all of the areas. Though the complex shows some signs of its age it is functional and well kept. Check out the large butterfly mural outside on the north side of the building. The outside park area features, tennis courts, a large dog park, and a playground as well as lots of green space

I learned skating in this community center.Shawn is a good instructor and I know kind friends from here.Great place!
