The course is in great shape! I enjoyed the layout which is walkable. Great variety of golf holes and several tee options. The staff is friendly and the Stymies restaurant is excellent!
Loved this course. Beautifully maintained. Holes were challenging, not too hard for the average golfer, but still required accurate shots. The electric carts are very well maintained and a nice ride. Lovely landscaping and benches sprinkled throughout the course. Tee boxes have yardage posted for each hole. Greens are fast and well maintained. The bathrooms around the course we're a nice surprise and equipped consistent with the high levels of detail found throughout the clubhouse and restaurants.
Had lunch at Stimies. Asked the kid seating us and taking drink orders how old he was. Said 17. How many 17 year olds are working today?? Neat kid!! Lady serving us brought my beer. Was a 22 ouncer but had a good head of foam so she said she was going to only charge for a 16 ounces. Who does this today!! I ordered the Club Sandwich and when it came I told my wife I was going to eat half of it and she said I would be lucky to eat a third of it. She was right!! When the lady came back I told her I had a complaints. She looked concerned and I asked her if she really expected me to eat all that food. She laughed and said, I have a box for that!! I love this place. The picture is of the food I took home!!.
Attended local community galas at this location. Great food. Great service. Beautiful lawn.
Environment: The setting is amazing, stunning views, high ceilings. Tons of sitting space, outside sitting is in plenty, it was a little chilly so we couldn't sit outside which we would have preferred. Food: Authentic BBQ sauce, so authentic that we thought it was something else. From the taste, it would be great on ribs. This restaurant is part of a steakhouse so I wouldn't be surprised if they have their own in-house BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce does not go well with fries or chicken strips. It is obvious that the onion rings were frozen. Although they were perfectly cooked, the flavor is bland. The chicken strips must have been frozen too, there was really nothing innovative about the flavor. I know some people would ask if the chicken strip flavor is a big deal but every chance to cook is an opportunity to showcase skills. Customer service: The restaurant seems to be struggling with employee retention. They have employees with very little experience. They didn't have silverware pre-staged, we had to ask for condiments and napkins. Overall experience: Other than the beautiful restaurant, the food is nothing out of the norm
They don’t do half stars so I’ll give it 4. It can’t be five, but it is 4.5 stars. First off, the French toast in the bar, amazing! I was there during a tournament so not normal condition and it was early spring. So, shotgun start and winter rules. The course was dry and not sloppy which is nice for winter golf. The clubhouse and pro shop is very nice and customer service was excellent. The facilities, grounds around the clubhouse, restaurant and bar, in excellent shape. The course was a little bit under construction. One tee box and small other spaces. They were not sparing any expense. Is it a 5 star experience, no, those are reserved probably for the pinehurst, broadmore, Hawaii trips ect… but if you’re thinking of making a reservation or trip here, do it. Great place, good round.
Great course, really had a time, Monday is the best day not to crowded, we had the place to our selves most of the time
I had the Elk Burger. I recommend. We also had the Kalamari which you need to order without the goop drizzled on top. The sweet chili sauce is good. Had a couple of raspberry lemon drops. Nicely made.
Had the chance to play this course on vacation. Great layout and course conditions. In the afternoon I got a lot of wind from the coast making club selection tough adding to the challenge.
A fun filled golf clubhouse/ restraunt where the food is amazing and the staff are fast and polite. Kids welcomed at stymie's and more fancy and reserved at the double eagle.
