Cedarburg Bog State Natural Area

The short walk on the board walk into Watt's Lake takes you into a beautiful and serene lake. Along the way the maple beech forest giving way to towering white cedars, yellow birch ~roots intertwined with the hummocks of the swamp - and then tamarack at the waters edge is spectacular.

Outstanding reserve for wildlife. There are two short trails, one on the north and the other on the south side of the bog. Nice boardwalk from both sides into the bog. Both are short, about 20 min each.

One of the more interesting and beautiful nature preserves in the area. They offer bird watching, hunting, canoeing, and even winter hiking!

I have this a 1 star because, I couldn't even hike the trail due to the lack of information on how to get to it. I googled the location because we are new to the area and couldn't find the trail anywhere. When I went into the office I couldn't even find someone to ask. Very disappointing!
