"Simple elegance permeates our restaurant, from classic French cuisine to each of our beautiful dining and event rooms. Our main floor consists of 3 light and airy dining rooms that seat 50-80, all accentuated by modern fittings on the original exposed brick walls. Downstairs, host a unique and intimate event in our wine cellar, originally the cell room of the police station our building housed in a previous life. Finally, walk upstairs to our second floor and find our gorgeous blank-slate event floor – which can be separated into two semi-private event spaces or one large, fully private event space."

I recently came in for dinner and I was so impressed that we decided to book a company gathering at Ce Soir as well. The food was absolutely delicious and service was consistent, professional and great overall. It's nice to see how well everyone works as a team at all levels to provide such great service to all guests. Ashley was great with communication and recommendations with planning our event. She made event planning so easy and effortless and was quick with planning an execution. The ambiance is great for an intimate dinner for 2 to larger group gatherings as well we had 18 people and it's great that they have separate dining rooms to accommodate different types of events. I would highly recommend Ce Soir for any event. I particularly enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, rack of lamb and Bone marrow on the regular menu. On the event menu, the lamb was excellent, fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. Our other guests really enjoyed the beef tenderloin and profiteroles for dessert. The pricing is appropriate for the excellent quality and portions of each dish. Our guests that have been to the former restaurant "seasons" were very impressed with the service and quality that Ce Soir brings in comparison. We had our children’s baptism dinner there and had an absolutely amazing time. Ashley and George hosted the night and we couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. We had so many compliments on service, the great portion sizes for food, and overall atmosphere of the venue. Ashley, our event coordinator, was so attentive to details, making sure everything was set up beautifully. She was always available whenever we had questions and to offer her suggestions on menu selections and seating arrangements. George took very good care of our guests, ensuring everyone was served and looked after throughout the event. Would come back again!!
Amazing place for dinning in, especially for dinner. Took my mom here for a goodbye dinner and didn't regret it. Even tho, the place is a bit pricey around 100$ per person per dinner, the food quality is outstanding. The service was pretty good but we were feeling somewhat forgotten maybe they were a bit understaffed for the evening. The atmosphere was great, with dim lights, quite music and people's chatter all around, a very nice dinery atmosphere. Parking: Bunch of free parking around downtown Oakville, especially next to Lakeshore.
Finally a lovely French bistro in Oakville! Service is friendly and attentive and there is a wide variety on the menu to please the fussiest eater. Ambiance is warm with the brick walls, lighting, and decor. We started with the scallops and bitters salad and had steak frites and bouillabaisse mains with crème brûlée for dessert. Definitely looking forward to returning!
Just wow, what an amazing experience all around. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was very high end and tasted amazing. I will definitely be back. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Oakville.Food: 5/5
We had an 80 person engagement party here recently, using the upstairs East and West Rooms. What a great event! We worked with Ashley weeks beforehand on our vision, room setup and menu, etc and it was a great experience. On the day of, Ashley, George and all the team delivered a fantastic open bar with Aperol Spritzers and canapés. Then we had a sit down 4 course meal. Everyone loved the food and the service. The ambiance was perfect for our daughter’s vision. We received so many compliments about everything. Thank you Ashley, George and the entire team at Ce Soir!!!
Booked in for a Tuesday Night - 8:30pm. Server Megan took great care of me and my guest. We sampled almost everything on the menu. The bone marrow, mushroom ravioli and sea bass was my favorite. Unfortunately the experience was less than fantastic …. We struggled to get table service repeatedly and the food was just ok The lobster tail dish: sadly the lobster was overcooked and the overall composition of the dish was not great. Over cooked pasta under tough lobster with flavours that don’t complement. Would not order again. The scallops: were tasty The rack of lamb: ok The washrooms are in the basement and stairs are required. There is a accessible washroom on main floor but you need to ask for access. The basement smelled really musty. There is mold on ceiling in accessible washroom.
I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant! I think my steak was cooked perfectly my only complaint was the price compared to what I was receiving. I got the steak frites for $55+tax and honestly it was delicious however I just wished it was 1. Displayed a little nicer and 2. Maybe had a vegetable for garnish on the plate. Just anything to make it more like a dish and less like something that was slapped together. The waitress was super nice but I do wish they swung by the table with water my frequently. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also really nice but be prepared to scream to your dinner party as the music is SUPER loud in the establishment and we were sat pretty in the very back room. Overall, good experience but a lot of $ for what was given.
We celebrated our wedding here last Friday and we had an amazing experience with Ashley, from all the fine tuning of our wedding details to food and much more. Thank you George and Ashley for making all this possible for us.Food: 5/5
