I’m a fan of Cazba and have visited a few of their locations, but this one seems to lack a bit of customer service and efficiency. For an Express location, I expect quick, prompt service but I didn’t quite get that when I was there. I think it’s a combination of getting a lot of new orders all at once, plus having new staff. I’m not saying don’t go, because I like their food, but be prepared to wait. If you’re really hungry and can’t wait 15-20 minutes, maybe try ordering ahead.
I don’t normally write reviews. Customer service was great but this experience really affected me so much. I ordered rice and eggplant sauce soup. The eggplant was too old and oily.or not clean. I got sick for a whole week. Please throw out old food. We Canadians do not have strong immune system. I hope you make some changes how you do your business. The purpose of opening a restaurant is to share your love of food and cuisine not to make people sick. I'm scared now. Good luck.
I've been here a few times and the food is good. Simple seasoned meat with fluffy rice. I've never had any issues except for the hair that I found on the tomato today. It seems that the service was better when it first opened. I love Persian food so I really enjoyed the first few meals here. However, after reading the other negative reviews here I can unfortunately relate. Hopefully they learn from the negative reviews and improve their practices. I will give them another chance.
The food had a terrible odour. I asked for Tahchin. It was really oily inside and charred on the outside. It was clearly baked a few days ago. The most awful encounter ever They are utilising bad-smelling, expired meat. You won't believe how many spices they put in the meat to cover up the odour. Customer service is this company's other major weakness. They advised me to avoid contacting the management when I pointed out that they cannot say that their food is fresh if it is rotten and wanted to speak to the manager. Never trust them if your health is important to you.
I’ve visited this location a few times and bought a few items in the menu. A few things from my purchase today. 1. Food ordered today was not fresh. The whole family could tell that the Shirazi salad was at least a couple of days old 2. Kabob koobideh: as other reviews mention it, it wasn’t cooked properly. I would not say it was undercooked, but it feel that there was not heat applied to change the colour of the meat to a golden brown. 3. Fesenjoon: I have yet to have a fesenjoon with so much oil and so little meat. It almost felt like someone had used a blender to make the stew then added only 2 pieces of chicken. 4. Kashko-Bademjoon: great tasting, but again the texture felt like someone had put it in the blender. 5. Lamb shanks: Excellent, at par with the best out there 6. Dolmas : I am convinced this is out of a can. I would imagine that the food is not thrown out at the end of the day, and it’s carried over for customers for a few days; either due to large batches being made, or lack of sale of certain items. To all the would be / potential eaters... there are a few other unnamed Persian restaurants in close proximity. Take your pick... you’re getting a better deal!
I ordered the chicken and beef plate and my dad got the beef and lamb plate They switched my beef with his lamb but the food was good and I loved the grilled tomatoFood: 5/5
This is my favourite place to take out Persian food in Coquitlam. Very fresh food . Koobideh is juicy and soft.
The spoon was a joke! The portions are very smaller these days especially the rice, they put very little … They were much better long time ago
2nd Time in this Area food is good, hoping get free appetizer but i didn't receive the FREE appetizer that they promise the next time i will come by, but is ok.
Do you even read the notes for an order that is pick up? I have the same issue with this place over and over again. If there was another iranian restaurant close to my work, I would order from there but unfortunately, I am stuck with this place. I ALWAYS write hot sauce in my notes and will pay extra but I know its free when you come to pick it up at the mall. My concern is why do you never add the hot sauce? I have wrote it in skip the dishes notes, uber eat notes and you don't have a button for it either but offer it at your store! Read clients notes to orders and like other restaurants, if you can't supply it or need to charge, call the customer to let them know, don't just ignore it as if they aren't going to notice you didn't add the hot sauce! I hope this helps someone else. Also, why do you have to buy a huge Mast o Khiar? You should have other sizes and also side pita bread. This is the iranian food. It is like having butter chicken with no naan bread....You need the pita option with the kabob
