Always liked this place. Good fish and chips. They even cooked their fries enough this time. Just had their lunch portion of halibut and chips. Good food, good value.
Really enjoyed the great food. Staff were really friendly! We were there mid week and a little before dinner hour and found they had plenty of seating choices for us. The restaurant started to fill up by the time we left.
This is only the second time that I’ve ordered from this place and will be the last. The fish was wet and undercooked both times. Threw away $40.00. Very disappointed as I am fairly new and am trying to find a good place. Found one!
Decided to have Caz’s fish and chips for dinner on Tuesday Sept 13 and it was terrible! Ordered over the phone for take out and when we got it home there was nothing more than batter. There was literally less fish than a highliner fish stick! 2 dinners for almost $40 was very disappointing for what we received. Been a loyal customer of caz’s for years, but now this has changed my mind on where to get my fish and chips from.
Delicious meals, however the waitress was horrible. A rude woman who made us feel unwelcome. Rushed us, warned us we may need to leave to free up the table for someone else. She ruined our dining experience. I’m writing a letter to the owner to elaborate.
The dining room is closed on Mondays. I took take out as I was not passing up the best fish & chips around. Enjoyed every mosel. Parking: Sorry didn't count the spots? Wheelchair accessibility: No worries as there's plenty.
I ordered halibut and salad but I did not receive halibut. It wasn’t steaky, it was mushy/soft like cod. They insisted it was halibut so I just ate the salad and went to Popeyes for a piece of chicken. Place was clean and extremely friendly staff. Just too bad we couldn’t figure out the fish. I don’t eat fish and chips too often but I decided to swing by here a few weeks ago. It was pretty decent; everything was crispy, the batter was light and flaky and the fish was cooked nicely. If there’s one suggestion I’d make, it’d be for Caz’s to make their own tartar sauce
The "cod and chips" I ordered was good, but not the best fish and chips I've ever had. I was very disappointed that this longstanding, "best in town" joint served pre-made tartar sauce. When fish & chips is your only specialty, it should go without saying that you develop your own tartar sauce. Heads up: it is wheelchair accessible, however their door isn't automatic with a convenient button. Someone will need to hold it open for the disabled.
Tartar sauce packets? This is a restaurant that focuses on fish and chips, and you can't make your own tartar sauce? It's not hard to make, and it would taste way better than that gross warm stuff in those packets. Also, you should season your fries with salt. Make these two changes and you'll have more happy customers.
