I've been a customer for many years, both for spa services (Jocelyn gives the most amazing facials!) and for hair appointments. All of the rooms, including the fabulous steam room, are kept meticulously clean and updated and everyone is very polite and professional. When their email reminder system for appointments wasn't working, the owner called personally to remind me about my appointment. Great customer service!

All receive an excellent hair cut. I travel quite a distance to come to this little gem. The stylists are excellent. The front staff always quick to give a friendly welcome and to top it all off they serve you fresh baked cookies!

I've been a customer for many years now, and I've always had a great experience. I usually have my hair cut and/or a massage. Sometimes if I decide to have my hair washed after a massage, they have squeezed me in...it's lovely.

My wife had been going to this salon for nearly 5 years.
She was booked in for an appointment Dec 7th, but cancelled with 5 days notice because of a last minute appointment to get our one month old daughter to the doctor.
Rescheduled for the 13th, and unfortunately had to cancel again with 5 days noticed as the babysitter (Grandma) cancelled on her as she got called in to work.
Rescheduled again for the morning of Dec 20th, but a foot of snow fell overnight and babysitter Grandma had to cancel and my wife was unable to drive there, so she called to cancel first thing in the morning.
The salon still charged her a $113 cancellation fee, despite the situation. The manager had stated my wife had cancelled on them a number of times in the past, however the only time my wife had cancelled in the 4+ years was as mentioned above, which was much more notice than their 24 hour cancellation policy. They also had no records of any other cancellations other than the above. They stated she had cancelled within 24 hours a previous time, however had no actual records of it when I asked. The manager was going off the word of the stylist. My wife checked her phone records, and she had called both times 5 days in advance. Manager said she was just following the salon policy, and that she would call if there was anything she could do. Of course, I didn't receive a call.
Also, my wife had originally booked in for a partial treatment, but the salon had told her to just book the time slot for the full hair/color treatment just in case. Well, they charged her 50% of the full treatment cost, instead of 50% of the treatment she had requested. They never informed her up front that she would be on the hook for additional cancellation charges..
Quality of the services is good, but they clearly don't value long term clients. I understand charging a cancellation fee within 24 hours, however when your long time client has a one month old daughter and can't drive due to recent changes in road conditions, you should have the common sense to forgive your client due to the circumstances, or at the very least charge a reduced rate.
They have unfortunately lost a regular and long time customer due to this.
