Castle Cleaners

They cleaned my father in-laws navy uniforms for his memorial. They did a fantastic job and very fast at a great price.

I'm from Philadelphia where the cost of living is way higher but the prices here are still more expensive than the places to which I regularly go back home. I dropped off the same dress and matching jacket twice during my two-week stay in Elmira. The first time the job was done as expected and overnight, which was great. I thought the high-ish price was due to the fact that it was done overnight but when I went to have the set dry cleaned again, it was the same price to have it done no matter how late you picked it up. I sweat a lot, especially since I use this suit for interviews, and it still smelled bad when I picked it up. They offered to do it again, but I was leaving the next morning so I wouldn't have had time to pick it up again. It retrospect I should have gotten the overnight service again since it was the same price anyway and then it could have been cleaned twice, but it was more convenient for me to pick it up the later day and hindsight is 20/20. I recommend a quick sniff test before you take your clothes home.

As a customer who has used Castle for years I find the dress review comical and would suggest that the woman check to make sure she went to the correct cleaners. Yes I have had stains that they were not able to remove but I put the stain there, not them. The staff is very friendly and they do not nickel and dime you like some other cleaners, also they do the BEST mens shirt in town...

I brought a 100% silk dress, which cost $80, to Castle Cleaners to be cleaned before my sister's high school graduation. They took two more days than they quoted, and when I picked it up it had pink splotches all over it! I have had this dress dry cleaned before at a different place and this did not happen. When I approached the front desk worker about speaking with the manager, she told me that the owner was out of town for the next two months, and the manager wouldn't even come out of the back room to speak with me!! The girl at the desk was playing telephone, going in the back and asking her manager questions...I could hear them talking but the manager was too busy to see a unhappy customer! The WORST customer service I have ever experienced!! and I have worked in customer service my entire life... Don't go to Castle Cleaners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
