I was here while visiting family and I looked for a place nearby with excellent reviews so I was led here. The staff are super friendly, even to my families awkward jokes. I had the smashed burger and potato fries and they were both excellent. Fries were crispy with a great garlic aioli. The cheesecake for dessert was one of the best I've had, pretty close to cheesecake factory good. My family tried the fish and chips and the fish was huge! They seemed to enjoy it. The burger was quite good to. If I'm up this way again I'll be sure to stop in again. Our waitress was sweet, I know her name but would probably misspell it.
This is an updated review, my initial review was only one star due to some issues. I tried the take out menu tonight and it was great. Much better than my first experience. Order was right on time and the portion size was enough for two meals.
i can’t possibly say enough good things about castings! the service is always great, especially when we have koby. the food is so so good, i usually get the chicken bacon pasta or a salad and it is always so tasty! not to mention the to-die-for carrot cake- it is a *must* try! generous portions for a fair price, and always a new drink to try off the extensive but perfected cocktail menu. there is something for everyone here! this is truly a gem in town, and always a 5 experience. it’s so nice to go somewhere where i know we’ll be greeted warmly with great service and a smile. thanks koby & the kitchen team!! <3
Went there for our anniversary dinner. Our first time there and everything was amazing! Our waitress, Krista, was beyond fantastic and she made us feel special on our date with a surprise dessert! The food was super yummy and we can't wait until next date night. Thank you and keep doing what you're doing!
Delicious food at Castings Public House .... 2nd time eating there, first time inside the restaurant. We all enjoyed it.
This place was amazing, Me and my friends went out for dinner and our waitress was so kind even though we were so complicated. Food came so fast and there was 8 of us. A live band came in and we didn’t get to see them but they were funny and talented. Food was so amazing and it was an overall amazing experience, definitely recommend it here!!
We have adopted Castings Public House as our “go to” for all manner of outings. Whether it is just for a drink after a days work or a meal with visiting family and friends, we have never been disappointed. The room is cosy, the staff are stellar and the food excellent. We especially enjoy taking in the live music that is right here in town. Kudos to Danielle and her terrific staff!! Paul & Joanne
WOW! Came for dinner, enjoyed every bite! Drinks were mixed and poured to perfection. Caesar had me wanting another. I wanted to take a picture of our food when it came out super fast, I must say but it looked and smelled so good, I devoured it all! Hubby got the steak and cheese sandwich, I got the burger with poutine. I couldn’t decide which one was better… it was all delicious! If you find yourself in Wingham, I highly suggest you make your way to Castings. Dinner for two, with two drinks came to $70 before tip. Well worth the price for the quality and amount of food. I’ll be back!!
was there a few weeks ago, Food was good, portions were good I had to track my waitress down several times looking for stuff and to pay the bill. 7 bucks for a beer Really!! 3 bucks for a can of pop really!! doubt ill be back or just order water
First off, the service was great. After that we are left with overpriced food $24 for a 6oz burger with some bbq sauce and onion rings on it for example. Had to send back ribs that were cold and other food as well. Food was OK, but the prices would make airport restaurants blush considering the poor food quality.
