Wonderful park with some Paved and dirt trails near the Black River. There is a 0.9-mile loop that's takes you from the parking lot to the waterfalls with wooden steps to take you down to an overlook. Note that near the waterfall is a lot of broken glass on the trail. Be careful with pets. Taking the trail over the bridge from the parking lot will take you to another playground with pavilion and picnic tables and a Very quaint little wooden trail that is also a loop and that can take you directly across the man made overflow.
My husband and I stopped her on our road trip. It was later in the evening, so we didn't have a lot of time to walk around before the park was going to close. What we saw was beautiful. If we return, I will bring hiking boots and go walking the trails to the falls.
The paved trail gets VERY steep, the unpaved trail isn't too difficult, but it does include going up and down rock stairs and can require a bit of coordination.nThe bridge overlook is currently closed.
Very beautiful park. The walk to the waterfall wasn't that far. Gorgeous views
Absolutely beautiful!!! This place is a great place to visit!!! Hiked back to the waterfall and we were Absolutely blown away by the beautiful surroundings and waterfall!!! It was a solid 7 out of 10 in our opinion. Trails and not really bad except for a few spots but nothing to crazy!!!
