Really great food. The pan fried shrimp and sausage were amazing. If you want the whole Piri Piri Chicken call ahead to let them know. It's delicious and I highly recommend getting it. It's a family room place and the woman who runs it is very helpful and nice. Definitely a great gem of a place I'll be back to.
First time trying Portuguese food, so didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The outside of the restaurant may not look like much, but once you get inside, it feels like you are somewhere in Europe. We were there on a Sunday, and was greeted by an old friendly lady. She was the only server there, so the place might not be suitable for very large crowds. But for our group of 3, the food came out fairly fast. We ordered their Piripiri chicken over fries which is only available on weekends. We also ordered a sausage that came in a cute flaming pig porcelain container. And we ordered a dish of pork cubes, clams, and sausage in a white wine and garlic sauce over fries. All the dishes tasted great. The sausage and chicken were flavorful. And the pork was surprisingly tender. Both the pork and clams went very nicely with the garlic sauce that acted as gravy for the fries too. Split 3 ways, the cost was about $17 per person for this meal. We'll likely come back to try out their other dishes.

Unreal home made traditional Portuguese food, reminds me of a real Portuguese tasca. Extremely friendly people, will return every time I’m in Vancouver and highly recommend if you are in Vancouver to eat here especially if you don’t want to eat regular chain restaurant food that you can eat literally anywhere. Thank you Casa Verde you are the best
We had a wonderful family dinner on Friday night at Casa Verde. Our server Sarah was fantastic and the food she recommended was all really yummy. Favourites were the prawn appie such a taste secret sauce and the chip fries with gravy. When you walk in... it's a pretty ma & pop shop and the decor won't blow you away... yet, the service & food are well worth supporting a local neighbourhood restaurant.
I almost don’t want to tell people about this place, because I love it so much. A little hole in the wall run by a very sweet family. Love their seafood options, love the flaming sausage and oddly enough their simple green salad is a favourite - just goes to show how great their food is. Come in when the World Cup is on, you’ll feel like you’re in Europe.
Arrived at 7:30 and was lied to by Sarah that they would reserve a table for us at 8:30. Arrived at 8:30 and was told there was no room. So I guess a great place to not do business with disreputable people?
Ordered a steak sandwich and fries. I'm pretty sure the steak was rancid, it was the worst tasting piece of meat I've ever had. The fries were really soggy and greasy. I'm super disappointed.
Toughest driest chunk of fish I've ever had, extremely salty, with some boiled potatoes for $20. Rice didn't have eggs in it - but it had egg shells ???. Quite a few flies buzzing around.
Great food and such a cute welcoming and warm atmosphere ! Sarah has great customer service, shes the kind of person you meet and feel like youve known your whole life ! Cant wait to come back
