Amazing experience at Casa Toscana Great food. I had the sword fish & Mushroom turkey soup. Partner had their homemade spaghetti paired up with a white & red wine. Live music. All together a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.
This little place exceeded my expectations. I felt like I was back in Tuscany, eating in one of the small family owned ristorantes. We had appetizers, pasta, dessert & coffee plus take out deli meats, cheese and oil. I would travel from Toronto to Grimsby just to eat in this restaurant Our server was excellent too. Excellent service! We had bruschetta but ate it too quickly - no photos, sorry!
Authentic Italian taste,it was the first time we heard right pronunciation of the Italian dishes. All menu items were explained at table side. Got halal brisket very tender and delicious.
Beautiful place for a fancy dinner. It feels fancy and classy but you could go in jeans. Our waiter had an Italian accent which just added to the whole experience. He picked us a fantastic bottle of wine and the 5 cheese pasta was heavenly. Didn't look like but when it came to the table but boy did it ever taste good. The espresso was also amazing!! Will definitely return next season for another special dinner
Visited Casa Toscana last week for a nice authentic Italian meal. Their menu changes every week or two which I love. The male server there was awesome explaining each dish. We tried the Nero D’Avola wine - wasn’t disappointed. They have cozy dining bubbles on their patio that I would definitely book in the future - we were a walk in so unfortunately just got a table indoors. It was nice to see the olive oil dispensers, and decor inside the restaurant but the kitchen is open and very loud so would recommend booking a bubble if you’re going out with a group of friends. Me and my fiancée still had a great experience though. I got the beet salad and salmon crudo to begin. Loved the salad - definitely recommend! We each got our own pasta and main course as well lol we like to fully explore menus when we dine out even if it means bringing food home. My fiancé got the pici it was done very traditional with lots of garlic. I loved it. I got the tagliatelle had a nice spice to it maybe nutmeg.
Service was fantastic. The Orange Roughy was delicious !! Finally got to try the heated outdoor patio canopies!! They are cozy & fun, and an extra layer of clothing and decent footwear is all you need to make for a comfy night out on a winters’ night.
This was a great place. The salad was not fresh but the waiter, very nice, gladly returned it while not charging us. The pasta dishes were excellent and we were able to get a table in the patio with better shade eventhough another table was originally reserved for us. We didn't need to wait long for our orders which is always nice. Good dining experience, and I will go back again.
Visited Grimsby today and went to lunch here. Our waiter Devin was so attentive and friendly and educated us fully on the menu; we really appreciated the service and experience we got. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful even after I wanted to buy some olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar after lunch 10/10 olive oil and balsamic by the way!!. I thought the pricing was more than fair, considering how fresh and delicious everything was. Everything was clean and even overhearing other waiters welcome guests in you can tell they make everyone feel at home here. I will definitely be making an hour trip back here another day!!
A real authentic Italian neighborhood spot. A hidden gem really if you're not from Grimsby. Enjoyed the Tuscan fare, ambiance, service, and the sumptuous beef and vegetable soup I had hit the spot. This cute little restaurant has a cosy feel and is family run I would definitely return and try their pasta next time! Wine selection was also on point Right in the heart of Grimsby downtown - I saw winter pods outside if you fancy dining in the patio. Highly recommend and must on your list of things to try in Niagara!
Had a lovely lunch here. Roasted red pepper soup, and sandwich. While the soup was nice, it was a little on the bitter side, a carrot or two would fix this. The sandwich was very nice and the bread delicious. Note, I did not see that it had mustard, which I don't enjoy, so read twice, order once. The restaurant is so lovely, and staff are super friendly. Prices are reasonable, except for the wine, a bit pricey starting at $13 a glass.
