The best place in the greater Montreal area to have a party. Amazing food. Grilled meat, chicken or salmon. Amazing appetizers. Bring your own alcohol. Very nice private rooms for small parties of thirty all the way to 200 people. Our room has a dance floor, beer fridge and bar! Easy parking. Easy entrance. The manager is great to plan with and a great communicator. Most affordable option. You host your party at the most economical price, with delicious food and then go home. It’s perfect!
Very disappointed. We had our Christmas supper there. Food was fine except for the salad which was very sour. We paid for a certain amount of bottles of wine. Unfortunately, some people didn't show up therefore we lost the bottles we had paid for. The bartenders charged our guests for non alcoholic beverages which were supposed to be free according to our contract. As for the dessert, we had ordered and paid for Yuletide logs. Unfortunately for us, they gave us two 2 chocolate cakes from Costco at $24.99 each. they forgot to remove the price tag. We had paid for table service but when it came to dessert and coffee, the guests had to serve themselves outside the hall as the coffee and cake where set up outside the rented hall. When asked to compensate us, it took them three 3 months to come back to us saying they could only give us a credit towards our next visit. Mind you we won't be back.
Absolutely disgusted with this place. My family has had many events here and has never been so disgusted. A few months prior to the event, we sat with the manager and discussed a menu which we had paid a deposit on. A week before the event, the manager calls to ask us what we want in terms of appetizers, even though our contract has all of the information listed. I kindly emailed him all of the details we had spoken about. He then informs me that certain items would need to change due to the lettuce price increase, whatever. Two days prior to the event, he calls me again and asks the SAME question, what appetizers, salad and pasta do you want? So I told him that we had already discussed this and he said he didnt have the contract in front of him The day of the party, about an hour before, he informs me that we need to pay up front at that moment or he was going to shut the party down, as I am setting up for the event. Having spoken to this man numerous times in the previous months, he had never mentioned this once and we had always paid AFTER our events happened. We had agreed on seating arrangements and seating charts as well, only to find out that the tables had less seating than discussed and in the middle of the party we had to add an extra seating to each table. The appetizers did not come out for almost an hour and a half, the pasta was NOT what we had agreed on and quite frankly tasted awful and on top of EVERYTHING, we had agreed on beef medallion and chicken as the main meal, the hall WITHOUT TELLING US, served PORK to our guests. Some individuals have dietary restrictions due to culture or personal choices, and the hall did not inform anyone of this switch. On top of that, the wait staff was taking videos of themselves during the party, eating from our sweet table with their bare hands and the owner/manager not sure was randomly standing near the bar making many people uncomfortable, glaring at them. Needless to say, on top of extremely disrespectful and rude manager & owner, they completely changed our menu without consulting us, served pork to individuals who had dietary restrictions, many of the table cloths were extremely dirty BEFORE we had even set up the party, as with the floors, which were trying to be hidden with tables. We found random DIRTY dishes and knives in the hall as we got there to set up and used napkins on the floor. Had extremely unprofessional staff using their phones, taking photos of people and videos of themselves, eating from our food BEFORE we had offered them any. I will never recommend this place to anyone, it is the worst service and hall I have ever been to, which is extremely sad because we have hosted many events here before. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE AND DO NOT BELIEVE THE RESPONSES THEY PUT ON POSTS, they are completely and utter con artists.
Not exactly gourmet food but a fun place for gatherings nevertheless. Some of our food arrived still frozen in the middle so there you have it. - reply to the reply below - This was a Spanakopita dish - we had three in our party and all three were frozen inside. I did ask to see the manager and was told by a waitress he wasn't available. No big deal - just won't return.
Very, very disappointing! My niece and her future husband had their engagement party at this hall. The owner was very rude and disrespectful, demanding payment for the event in advance, saying if payment was not made immediately, he would close down the event. He held the guests hostage and did not even start prepping the cocktails until he had the payment made. There is no hall that does this and this WAS NOT part of the agreement. Deposit was paid in advance. Father of the future bride had no choice but to pay for the entire event in advance!!! THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!! one star is too much!
The perfect little hall for small parties or events. I personally didn't do business with them but had an amazing experience when I attended a civil wedding at this location. Everything looked modern and up to date. The decor was done by a third-party. Food was provided by an external catering service but the servers and their service was good. They went out of their way and gave complimentary cake. Very kind and welcoming their part. Thank you
Omg! I found this Hall last min and I couldn’t be more happy !!!!!! The best place ever!!! Raja you were amazing thank you so much to you and your team for making my daughter’s birthday unforgettable ! Everything was just perfect, the sweetest staffs
BEWARE: I have never been so insulted as I was in my life when dealing with the owner of this business. We are an italian family and have been throwing large weddings and events and using reception halls since my family arrived in Canada. We have used Casa Reception for 3 family celebrations before this instance. Each time the procedure was the same. Your negotiate a price, make a deposit and then after the event our are billed and pay. Well yesterday for my cousin's engagement party things were drastically different. With no warning or notice, the owner demanded full payment at 15 mins before the start of the event. Threatening to cancel our party if it someone didnt make the entire payment. They cited new policies post pandemic as the reason. THEY HELD OUR EVENT HOSTAGE AND DEMANDED IMMEDIATE PAYMENT BEFORE ANY FOOD OR SERVICE WAS OFFERED after my uncle had paid their deposit. Has the service industry lost their mind? Is this they way we do business now. Take a credit card on file, ask for a bigger deposit or at the very least inform your clients of your non-industry standard policies. The post pademic backlog of businesses for Halls will end and I recommend stronly our find somewhere else to host your party. The do not care about their clients at all and the owner was extremely agressive, rude and arrogant. EDIT: THE OWNERS ANSWER BELOW IS TOTALLY INDICITIVE OF HOW RUDE AND UNCARING THERE ARE. The point was not what you did but how you did it. Instead of informing us of your policy or asking for payment you waited till the day of and held us hostage by saying you could cancel if the event was not paid before hand. My uncle deserved the option to choose a different hall based on knowing our policies. I think anywhere that demands payment in full in advance of a meal does not have confidence in its level of service or quality of its meals.
Everything was delicious. Even hot for so many being served at once. Very generous portions. Staff was very pleasant, atmosphere great.
Small reception halls went for a NYE and BD combo party. Filet mignon was perfectly done. Great party among friends. Nice cozy venue. BYOB service
