Delicious ice cream. Beautiful downtown view. All flavor cotton candy was good. Excellent customer service. Clean and awesome favor. Great location.
I am grateful we still have a Carvel here in Newington. In addition it is one of the nicest, most modern ones still left. Carvel is always my favorite soft serve ice cream and it never disappoints.
No, just no, drive yourself to AC Peterson for some amazing ice cream and better customer service. I’ve been here twice and had a weird experience each time. You don’t get acknowledged, they rather help a friend visiting, they’ll have the best time with the person visiting. Finally help you and look miserable. You ask questions and and are quickly dismissed. I asked for a topping and was bluntly told they don’t have it. I wanted to ask what other options they may have but she quickly put my ice cream on the counter. The whipped cream comes from a can. AC Peterson makes it along with their hot fudge. Spend your money somewhere else. I don’t leave reviews like this so it says a lot.
They made my milkshake with milk and strawberry ice cream, then when my friend ordered they made his milkshake the usual way with real strawberries. Then they charged us different prices even though we ordered the exact same thing. Worst Carvel I've ever been to. Disappointing.
Good ice cream and service but I’m giving two stars because the employee didn’t wear gloves while serving. She’s handling money, cleaning, wiping the windows then goes around to serve ice cream without gloves. That’s unsanitary.
Wow so comparing this location to the glastonbury one is like comparing apples to oranges. This was so nice to go to REAL ice cream location where it's clean, customer service is exceptional, and they actually have a real menu where they haven't run out of 80% of the menu. Also i realize there aren't many carvels left so after that horrible experience in glastonbury, I was done with carvelwell besides the cakes at stop&shop Lol..so to find this location and it be a great experience for my family and I, was a real eye opener. So again thank you Carvel salute to your staff yall deserve 6 stars!! status!
Neede a Carvel fix and none near me. The owner was friendly and engaging Ice cream was creamy and delicious
New to area. Was excited to have some Carvel, as it’s been a while since I’ve even scene one. It’s 8:15pm, I moved 5 minutes from this location. Show up at 8:20pm because the Google Maps Version of Carvel has it listed as “open till 9:00pm”……….. IT IS CLOSED!!! WTAF? If you scroll in the reviews, within the last 10 reviews, two of them are complaints about being closed during times that are listed as open. Every person, place, and thing has supply chain issues, staffing shortages etc. we are willing to work with around these things. Just please communicate through the proper channels that this location is only open “XYZ”. I’m not willing to give one star based on a poor experience or lack there of but I have to leave something to express these details. As of now I am negative $4 gasoline and no ice cream in my belly.
Cake was spelled wrong...the person present behind the counter paid more attention to a friend eating a sundae rather than paying attention to the, 30.00$, pre-ordered cake details.
