Story

We care about three simple things: smiles, conversation, and donuts. If we can get you smiling or talking about our donuts, then that's a win for us. We do this by making donuts the simple way, using real quality ingredients and making everything from scratch. Every day.

We offer a variety of donuts at all three of our stores including vegan and gluten friendly options. We also make mini donuts as well as 6inch and 9inch donut cakes by request! For order inquiries and special requests, please send us an email at [email protected].

I love this shop! Their donuts are so good and super fresh. My absolute favourite one was the smoked maple walnut donut. I didn’t fancy the chocolate ones much but I’m also not much of a chocolate person. 10/10 great for office treats!
Incredible baked, yes- baked, vegan gluten-free donut options. If you're not GF, you can get the fried ones, but truly the baked ones rule! You won't miss the oil at all!! Get there early for the best selection since they're not made throughout the day. Once they sell out of a flavor you'll have to visit the next day for more oh, what a shame! Terrific quality and they taste great. Love the happy staff, too. Enjoy.
Solid donuts. I dislike comparing because the top places often offer vastly different experiences taste, texture, execution. We tried both a cake and a yeast donut. The flavours are so nicely infused into the donuts + the little details like the type, size and amount of garnish they use on the donut makes a MASSIVE difference enhancing the flavour profiles and their depth. We tried the salted caramel cake donut and the maple walnut yeast donut. Both were so delectable we were sure that we couldn't have gone wrong with any of the other flavours. Note that they have plenty of vegan options vegan options dominate the selection actually, as well as gluten-free.
Delicious donuts! The actual donut was so soft. I had the smoked maple. Definitely a go-to when in Vancouver! But you’d need to go early as they have more flavours available. I went around 2pm and they were out of the vanilla bean flavour!
I had to check out what all the fuss was about with Earl Grey donuts in Vancouver, wow... game changer! I made the effort to get there just after they opened to get the early morning bake. Although pretty pricey, I must admit they are super yummy and incredibly addictive so I'd proceed with caution but definetely worth the plunge! The perfect buddy to your morning coffee to make a killer combo which I cannot recommend enough. The Earl Grey frosting also has the perfect balance of not too sweet or savory and the best brunch aftertaste. I love how this donut joint offers vegan friendly products and only uses wholesome and nutritious ingredients with non-GMO or artificial additives. I highly recommend the baked version of standard fried, perfect texture, bouncy, fluffy and soft as a delicious cloud of yummy dough. Support local business and always go nuts for donuts!
OMG!!! Soooooo good! Definitely a must try for the best vegan donuts ever! Their regular donuts are so fluffy and so delicious! I’d definitely come again to try some more of their flavours, but their baked ones are a little dry. I’d also say that the pumpkin spice donuts are a little on the stronger side in terms of pumpkin spice flavour. On the other hand the pistachio donut was literally heaven. So I’m torn, but I’ll stick with a very solid 4 stars?
I always have room for desserts! Cartems has some tasty donuts in town. First pick was earl grey. It’s vegan and gluten friendly and has a great earl grey tea flavor. The glaze is not too sweet and had a sprinkling of rose petals. This is a dense donut and super filling too. Second pick was the smoked maple walnut. Maple glaze and smoked walnuts were excellent and it’s a fluffier yeast donut. The earl grey is definitely my favorite!
Cartem has always been my favourite spot for vegan, GF donuts. They’ve always been super busy and items get sold out later of the day. So make sure you come by early if possible to grab some fresh donuts. Keep it up Cartems! Strongly recommended.
Finally had a chance to visit Cartems! Location is at a weird spot in downtown imo, love the interior, staff were friendly and last but not least the doughnuts were delicious!! Earl Grey was very a unique flavor that you should try, at least once Citrus Glaze was perfectly balanced And Salted Caramel didn't make it after 2 steps out the door Thanks and see you again!
Very unique flavors of fresh donuts. Each & every donuts filled with its own taste. The store close at 4.30pm or until sold out.
