I went to this school for 5 yrs in 1970. All those trees along West 16th Ave in Carnarvon Park was planted 50 years ago and now provides a nice shade for the sidewalk. The school also planted a few trees on its large playground. This is a small school and it's only a 1-storey building. Primary grade 1 to 3 is on the South side. Intermediate is on the North side and the office is right in the middle. Has a large and small gym for the 350 students.
Went to this school in 1960 as a child of 5 thru 3rd grade. They had race dats and sports days we live on 17th across the park. We heard from the old folks it was all ma4sh lands they reclaimed. The school had classrooms for the deaf. Though that was great. We learned some sign language on the playground. We moved to Califirnia. We're from England parents Scottish. The old house still the same :
School feels like home~ Great for elementary kids
cafeteria smells horrible smells like a rotting decomposed shriveled up corpse
Had decent teachers and the playgrounds were large. A good variety of programs for kids and after-school activities to join.
