Caribou Bar & Grill

Several poor reviews for here, im overly pleased. Good service, good food, and awesome local beer! I recommend stopping in to the bar and having a few beers and a nice dinner. The coleslaw was awesome!!!

A coworker warned me about his place but I thought I would give a chance. I have since given it several chances but I have finally gave up. The first time I went here it took 15 min. to get seated. The special was ribs and chicken. It took forever to get the food and when it did come out it was ice cold. The mashed potatoes must have been the burned, dried out scrapings from the bottom of the pan. I second time I went it again took forever to get seated. When the waitress finally came to the table she asked if I was ready to order. I promptly told her no SINCE SHE HADN'T EVEN GIVEN ME A MENU YET! When I did order I told her, "I'll just have a cheeseburger with fries and a Dr. Pepper." She then asked me if I would like fries with that. I repeated my order. SHE THEN ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE ANYTHING TO DRINK WITH THAT! The worst part was when I gave her a $50 bill for my $13 meal. She never came back with the change. I had to send another waitress to find her and bring me back my change. She had thought I told her to keep the change for her tip! Seriously? $37 tip on a $13 bill. The next night I went there simply because there is nowhere else to go. It was pizza night. I ordered a pizza. 45 min. later a gal asks me if I am waiting for something. I told her I was waiting for my pizza. She goes in the back and the guy that served me comes out with a charred, black pizza. They had forgot it in the oven! I just got up and left. A year later I am in town with some coworkers, the dining room was closed at 6 pm. It was a Monday night during the election season. That night there was Monday Night Football and a Trump - Clinton debate on TV. You would think they would have either of them on the three TV's in the bar. No, it was Dancing with the Stars on all three! We sat at the bar and ordered food. Repeatedly watched people whom were obviously locals come in and order after us and get food before us. When we were done we pushed our plates ahead to signal we were done. Our glasses were empty but the bartender was too busy playing on her phone at the end of the bar to notice we were still there. We even set out wallets and credit cards on the bar as a hint but to no avail. Finally one of my coworkers yelled at her to get her attention. Yes, he had to yell because the music from the kitchen was so loud you couldn't even hear the TV right in front of us. The next night we get back to the hotel at 7 pm, get cleaned up and go over for a bite. NOPE! Kitchen closes at 8 pm! Good thing the gas station in town is open later.

After working 16 hours, it was after 1:30 and Brittany and Keziah were still there. I was Starving. They took the time to go make me a sandwich and got me some chips. They went over and beyond to get me something to eat after hours.

Excellent restaurant with a very unique style: it is a meant to resemble a log building which is reflected inside of the restaurant: beautiful wildlife mounts, native artifacts & leather art very much true to the log cabin theme. We ordered Wild Pacific Salmon with sesame soya sauce and Alberta Beef with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. For dessert we had NY Cheesecake with strawberry sauce. Amazing place to eat, not only the food but it is truly a great experience. *
