AMAZING! I was in this area of Guelph and decided to try this restaurant! What a wonderful experience! As I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly Jamaican woman when another customer came in and we started chatting! There were many funny and friendly things that were said. The food was just like the food in Jamaica! I highly recommend trying this restaurant!
As a Guelph foodie, I think this is the best authentic Caribbean cuisine in Guelph! Definitely try the Roti, Jerk Chicken, Jamaican Patties and Goat curry!!! Great cost and serving size. The ladies here are the best.
Went here with my workers after a long drive to check out a place I'll be staying at.... the food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was great.... I dropped my one meal as I was walking to table and the container broke didn't loose much food just a bit of rice, I wasn't at all upset about it or bothered but still the lady working cash, insisted in filling a small to go container with more Food as she expects for her customers to leave with their bellys full and happy.... that customer service alone to me is worth going back for. You'll be see more of me once I've settled into my new living situation in Guelph! Thanks for 2 great meals.
Eh wouldn’t quite call it Caribbean I’ve had way better. Spent almost $30 for 2 dishes which isn’t bad but to get literally 4 pieces of curry chicken and a stale piece of fried plantain. I wouldn’t say it’s worth it, unless you’ve never had good Caribbean food before
Fantastic food, could have been hotter spice level, not temp very nice lady's! I'll be back and will ask for the hot hot hot jerk chickenFood: 5/5
I tried this place on my way home from a trip. It's not near where I live. Got the curried chicken with rice and peas. It was sooooo delicious. I will definitely go again when in the area.Food: 5/5
Been a go to lunch spot for years. Always a smile, good laugh and great food. recommend the Roti.
The curry goat plate is on point. That by itself deserves a great review. Friend, I have to share with you a nearly religious experience I had after biting into a beef patty at this establishment. I love to eat, and this patty woke me up and made me pay attention. Whenever I find myself in Guelph from now on, I doubt I will resist a quick stop to get some of these heavenly patties.
As I have said before, I love food from the Islands. These ladies put there hearts and souls into their food. I just had the curried chicken roti again and it is great. Just the right amount of spice in the curry.
To start, the service was very slow. I asked for a goat roti to go. I received a folded roti skin and a very small container containing about 1/3 of a roti's worth of meat, and a bunch of water. For $10.50, this is what they call a roti? Never coming back here. Edit: after eating it, the meat and the skin were both tough and dry. As a Caribbean person with a particular fondness for rotis, this is by far the worst roti I have ever had.
