There is zero point in calling ActiveCare Medical unless you are willing to waste time. I'm lucky in that I don't live too far from the clinic and prefer to drive there to stand in line for a few minutes even when no one is in the clinic sometimes??? to chat with real people about the reason I'd like to see my doctor today or any doctor really for a matter that needs to be dealt with now, not a week or a month later. I know the doctors at the clinic are excellent, but clearly the support staff is overworked, tired and deal with a lot of difficult matters throughout the day. I get it. I understand the current situation we are in, with lack of support and doctor availability, but this is a business. The reviews send a clear message. This clinic needs a massive upgrade on the way things are done. Start with the customer experience, from start to finish. I learned that they are looking into a new phone system can't come soon enough, but being able to get back to people in a timely manner my 14 year old daughter would be happy to do that and reduce frustrating experiences would be great. Make use of a functioning website where people can leave a brief detail of their issue so you are already aware of why they need to see a doctor and show availability for the doctor online, just like when I book a massage. Confirm appointments and send reminders via text message and email like my dentist does. Just a few suggestions, but I think we are due for an upgrade in the customer experience for a medical clinic in our community.
If I could put a 0, I wouldn't hesitate. Our family doctor is excellent and very caring so this isn't about the doctor. Most of the receptionists are rude and simply don't care about the patients. The phones are never answered... you will literally wait on the line for 45 mins to 2 hours before someone cares to answer. I walked in one day around 9:30am and the receptionists were sitting there letting the phone ring without a care in the world. Great doctors but terrible clinic.
We love our doctor and the clinic and the staff if anyone complains, well they’ve never experienced bad health care before because this clinic is the best! Yeah calling in can be tricky, keep in mind these are different times and a lot of people are calling for as good reasons as you and it can take time. they’re always super helpful and conscious of the patients. Couldn’t ask for a better doctor and clinic!
Like all the other reviews say, impossible to get in contact with my doctor. They never answer the phone, ive tried calling at different times, waiting over 40 minutes with no answer. I work and often dont have time to sit on hold for hours at a time. You can try to book an appointment online but their earliest appointments online are for october of NEXT YEAR. I had to report my doctor for him to get ahold of me and my family & im still waiting for a call back. Dont take on so many patients if you cannot care for them. Especially patients with severe mental heath issues.
Although we love Dr. Goulet and his nurse incredibly attentive, always giving us the time of day, the reception at this office is the worst we have ever experienced. Nobody answers the phone, you are often on hold for an hour before you can get through, and the online booking platform only allows for you to make a phone appointment. This clinic is SO poorly run.
Our family Dr's are great and we're very lucky to have them, but it's nearly impossible to contact the reception to make an appointment with them or any Dr. In the office. I always find it easier to walk in and book. Otherwise I wait on the phone for more than an hour. There's no option to email or leave a message. We've had to rely on calling 911 more than a few times. I just wish they could hire someone to answer emails
Waited on the phone for an hour to find out I can see my doctor in 2 months time....I've had to use walk in clinics or virtual care for urgent care for years now. What is even the point of having a "family doctor" with this clinic when you can't see them and it's near impossible to even get through to set up an appointment. I desperately want to find somewhere we can log a complaint against this clinic.
I will rate 0 star if there is a choice. They never answer the phone or whatsoever. I usually have to stop by the clinic to be able to talk to them to make appointment. Even so I have to stand there in the queue with no one else in the queue and wait for a while before able to talk to them. And receptionists attitude is not good. And appointment were made in a few months...
No point in calling there... I have been trying to call for 2 weeks now to cancel an appointment and they are only taking calls in the morning I have been on the lines for 3 to 4 hrs at a time without a response.. now i live 2 hours away from the clinic and unfortunately if I don't cancel my appointment 24 hrs in advance there will be a fee of $160. Disapointed.
While the doctors are excellent, they're responsible for selecting the receptionists and front-line staff to represent them. I was on hold from 11:10 AM - 12:00 PM only to be disconnected because they close the phone lines for lunch. This is simply unacceptable.
