It was really fun and well balanced for difficulty. We did the pirate treasure escape. We were too adults with 6 girls aged between 5 and 12. They were able to solve the room in a timely manner and were adequately challenge. The owner provided us a room for an hour after we successfully escaped. The staff was helpful and kind. We are planning on going back in the future.
My daughter just had her 10th birthday party here with 7 other girls including her 7 year old sister. They did the Mr. Moody's Ghost room The girls had a great time uncovering clues and solving puzzles! The puzzles were tricky enough for them to feel challenged but weren't so hard as to become frustrating. The party room was spacious and had a fridge to store the birthday cake and snacks. Thanks for a great time!
Took our 8 and 10 year olds and did the Mr. Moody’s Ghost escape. This was our first escape experience and it was surprisingly engaging and fun. We all had to think together and the kids are really excited about doing another one. It’s a 5-star experience, but $125 is darn steep for an hour so I had to give it 4 stars. I can say it was good family fun and we will most likely go again and try the “Pieces of Eight” experience. Our hostess was very nice.
Amazing & Fun Time!! We came last weekend for a friend of my sons birthday & it was so much fun that we just had to return today for the other room! Guides are attentive and friendly! This place is very different from the others in the city that say “kid-friendly” but are not. This one is PERFECT for kids and families!
Had my daughters 9th birthday here. They were very helpful. From organizing the invitations, to setting up the party room for us. The guide that went into the room with all the girls was super friendly. Natasha & her friends had a great time! Thank you. Jeannie
Captive Kids was a great place for a birthday party. We played Mr. Moody's Ghost and we will go back to play Pieces of Eight. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was surprisingly difficult to solve but engaging and fun.
We did the Pirate themed escape, and with 4x 13 year olds, and two parents to sidekick. They had a great time, and solved many puzzles all on their own. There were lots of laughs and excitement, and said they would all 100% do it again. Great job!
Very disappointing! First, the price is very high compare to other escape place we did. Second, the room was not set properly, some doors or locks where not closed properly. Also the end was disappointing. Ok, we have a map, we have a gold key... then what... noting. We can't event escape the room with that key. Ok, the beginning was great! but it's just down hill after. Some of the clues lead to nothing. We have done a lot of escape room in Ottawa and this was the worst... and the price was just the cherry on top :

Very fun!!! Not too easy but not overly challenging that the kids had to rely on the parents. We brought an 11 year old, 9 year old and 7 year old.
