So fresh and tasty. Tried fish and chips with green salad and chicken fingers. Both the dishes were amazing. Quantity is good. Taste is brilliant. Fish was fresh. Lady at front counter was so sweet. Overall very good experience. Must recommended place.
Everything was prepared to perfection! Fresh and made to order, the fish and chips meal was perfect. Reasonable prices alongside a very nostalgic ambience. What more can you ask for!
Captain William's Fish & Chips is one of the finest place to go for coffee, tea, fish, snacks, lunches and dinner. Their space is big and provide good quality and customer service to their clients.
Picked up 2 orders of Halibut tonight with a greek salad plus a coffee. The owners were open Christmas day. The coffee was fresh amd hot and the fish was so fresh with a nice light batter. The portions were huge. The salad was fresh & delicious. The owner brought the food out to the car to me. Such a sweet couple and the best fish I've had in years. Homemade tarter sauce was so tastey and fresh.
Went to this place on Good Friday. I’m rating this place 5 stars even before receiving my order because the team deserves a medal for dealing with one of the rudest customers I’ve ever seen: KYLE. I heard his name loud and clear because he made a huge deal out of having to say it “4 times because you can’t even speak English!” KYLE was extremely rude to the cashier who was trying her very best to deal with a significant crowd of customers, but he was more than rude to the gentleman from the kitchen, who came out to speak with him, that’s when KYLE demonstrated that not only is he an a*****e, but a racist the fact that Kyle was practicing an age old tradition of eating fish on Good Friday suggests he’s a Christian too…interpret as you wish!. KYLE was upset because his pre-ordered meal wasn’t ready at precisely 5:00, but instead was in-hand by 5:15, after the staff scrambled to accommodate him. For what it’s worth, my order was requested for 5pm too, but because I am a reasonable human being, I expect to wait for fish and chips on Good Friday, just as I would have to wait to see Santa on December 20. To KYLE and all of the other customers of the world: be kind! Give people in the service industry a break for crying out loud. As for the meal, great halibut, not overly battered, but just right!
Good friday dinner, order 5 fish & 3 fries, I feel if your ordering 5 fish then tarter sauce should be enough for 5 fish, only received 2 small containers enough for 2 PC fish. Ordered a large coleslaw and it was enough for 1 person . Wasn't very impressed .
5 Stars - Food and Service. Yes I will come back! Had the halibut and chips Onion rings are fantastic, it's all about the batter.
Love this place for fish and chips, always hot and crispy. The owners are also great!Food: 5/5
Fish and chips were fantastic. Fluffy Halibut cooked perfectly an omg so many yummy fries. Will be going back.Food: 5/5
We came in for a bite to eat mid-afternoon. This place has a bright and inviting space thanks to the open floor plan and natural light from all the windows. Service is quick and friendly. I always order halibut with fries and coleslaw. It's my go-to order for fish'n'chips restaurants. I love halibut and I like to see how different places prepare it. Captain William's fish is probably the one of the best fish I've had in a very long time. The batter is perfect. Thin, light, crispy, not greasy. They have a homemade tartar sauce that is excellent. Nothing fancy... just an excellent tartar sauce. The homemade coleslaw was really good, too. Cool, crisp, flavourful. Big, chunky French fries were hot and not greasy. And the ice cream? TRY THE ICE CREAM. I had maple walnut. If you like an excellent fish'n'chips dinner and you are in the area, I highly recommend this place. I plan to return. Parking: Ample parking!
