Capital Taxi

Great service, in particular car 689. We left a cell phone behind and the driver returned to look for us. When he could not find us, charged the phone and when we eventually realized we had left it behind, he was so kind and accommodating so that we could pick up the phone. Thank you!

Why is anyone using taxi anymore? Driver arrived one block away and only waited one minute. He drove away as we were walking across the street to meet him. Would not recommend.

I wish I could put 0 stars!!!!! I called for a taxi for a battery boost in a -40oC condition. I was late for work and turned to this company to help me boost my car. They sent a driver that came 10minutes later. Great! The guy that came automatically started telling me"just so know if the car start or not, you will have to pay"??? So I told him" I know that, can you try before even mentioning that". He started putting the cables. After literally one second, he told me to start the car which didn't make sense because it takes some time to charge. After 3 tries in the space of 5s, he started putting away the cables and told me that the problem was my car and to payhim. He started to become very aggressive and yelling at me. I paid him and informed him that I'll follow up with the company but reading the reviews now, I realize the whole company is flawed. I am extremely disappointed.

This business has improved a lot ever the last 5 years. Cabs are reliable, clean and the drivers friendly.

I pre-scheduled a very early pickup 4:45am. Driver was waiting for me when I went outside. Service was friendly, a perfect trip! Will definitely book Capital taxi again!

The taxi cab driver was nice, and we got to our destination quickly. Online system was pretty cool how I could say my address and then a few minutes later the cab driver was at the wrong house up the street waiting for me. However, the cab driver drove like a jerk. The kind of jerk that cuts traffic to get ahead even when they know full well the lane stops, constantly inches forwards and then slams the brakes at a stop light. That was alot of unnecessary stress and nausea caused from the driver getting the job done. 3 different people honked. I'll be calling a different cab company next time.

I have been in Ottawa for 2 weeks on business. For the first week I exclusively used Capital Cabs.That amounts to 14 trips. On the first day I tried to reserve a cab for the next morning and they told me don't bother it would be quicker just to order on the day so that is what I did. When a cab showed up I identified myself and the cabbie said I was his fare but later during the trip I git a call from a other cabbie saying I had been his fare. So a case of fare poaching within the same company. On the fourth day my cab was taking quite some time to show up so I called the company to check on it. They told me it was on its way. After a hour of waiting I called back and was told I had already been picked up which clearly wasn't the case. Today I called for a cab and again it was taking too long so I called in. Same story, it is on the way. After an hour I called back only to be told they had no record of me calling for a taxi. So I will no longer be using Capital Cabs. When the drivers actually show up they are nice and the cars in good shape, but trying to get them to show up is hard. Clearly a dispatching problem.

In my opinion this company it's not very professional. I just called and some random operator was angry and hang up. What a weird experience, there was no discussion nor insults. Nothing, just an angry person that had enough of its job.

We booked an early morning cab to go from the west end to the airport. The cab 52262 arrived few mins early and helped us load our luggage. Thanks for the great service!

If you want to use taxi service in Ottawa, stay away from Capital taxi service! Be careful, they may overcharging you! There was two drivers from this company, the first one tempted to overcharge us, the second one told us the price going to be $40, in the end overcharged us by $27 dollars! Worse experience ever for using the taxi service experience!
