Capelli Hairstylists

It was my first time at Capelli last Friday August 12/22 because my regular hairdresser was away. I was hesitant to go because my husband tried Capelli once and was not very pleased with the haircut. But, I really needed to get my hair trimmed I had a wedding to attend two days later! and decided to give it a try. The service was good in general staff was friendly and helpful, including the hairdresser, but I was not happy at all with my haircut. First, I went just for a trimming and told the hairdresser so and she ended up cutting a lot. Second, I wanted some layers and even showed her a picture of myself with the haircut I wanted done by my regular hairdresser, but I ended up with my hair cut in barely two layers. From the reviews and from what the hairdresser herself told me, she is very experienced, but my haircut was terrible. Not sure if she is not use to handle curly hair mine is curly but not too tight or her way to do haircuts is just "old fashion". Finally, I asked just for a simple blow dry curly styling with a diffuser, but again she seemed not to know how to achieve the nice curls you get using the diffuser properly. I let her know about the lack of layers at the end of the haircut, she offered to make more layers, but I was too afraid she will make it worse since she has cut already my her way too short, so I left. I paid over $100 for a bad "trimming" and a lousy blow dry. I got home, washed my hair and ended up trying to fix the haircut myself. At the end I was very unhappy, but honestly the hairdresser was very nice and I felt bad about complaining more to her or to go to the manager, so I just left and will no go back there ever again!Service: Hairstyling

My first initial experience here with a hair cut was really good, so the standards for service were good to start with and I had left a 5 star review being very happy with Rochelles results,who is no longer at this business. However I have come back with unfortunate results with hair colour, which is the worst to have go wrong due to it's permanence. I had brought in a picture of a copper red I was looking for and that I was willing to go with a more vibrant red in the instance it could be pulled off. Firstly, the colour I'd off. It looks like neither of the two pictures I had brought in, but rather a carrot yellow orange. It's not even and the worst part is the most orange part is at the front. Secondly, upon getting my hair curled, no product was applied to protect it from heat. Thirdly, my hair was being pulled through the curler after the clip part was placed down. Equalling to pain and very likely hair damage. However I was still willing to overlook all this as long as my hair colour was good. After three days of having to wake up snd struggling to look myself in the mirror I had to leave this review. I am very disappointed . Now I have to wait 2 weeks with this colour before I can consider to do anything. The people and staff are nice and friendly don't get me wrong. But the results are terrifying. My wife colored her hair at this salon last week and eventhough she really likes her color, she will never go back to this place. This salon does not dry clients hair and I was shocked to see my wife step into the car with dripping wet hair and this was one of the coldest days we had last week. This salon will only use a blowdryer if client pays for a full out blow dry but my wife has delicate hair and her hair can not tolerate and any salon she has ever gone to would always do a quick dry just to make sure the color turned out ok and of course not to let client leave in dripping wet hair...we have been living in Toronto all our lives and have never seen anything like this before. If youre ready to walk out in dripping wet hair or have strong hair and willing to pay for a full out blow dry session on each visit, then this place would work for you as staff are nice and professional.

I was worried about letting a hairdresser touch my hair after a bad experience which was my first hair cut in Canada. However, I took the risk and went to Capelli Salon. Lagha with her magic hands restored the health and beauty of my hair. Her expertise, imagination, patience, and caring personality make you feel beautiful and blessed. Now, it's been almost 4 years that she is my hairdresser. I just close my eyes and ask her to make me feel happy. When it comes to hair cutting, styling, and colouring Lagha is the ultimate example of excellence. Except for her unique art she is a human being. I love Capelli Salon in Bayview Village Shopping Center! I have been coming here for the past 15 years and even though I don't live in the city anymore I still make the drive. They have world class services and it starts from the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by Samantha at reception, who greets all clients by their name and a smile under her mask. The great service continues with Gwen who is the best colorist! No matter what colours she mixes for me, it always looks amazing and always make me feel beautiful! Next is Julianna who give the best haircut! All of her styles compliment my face and always look good even when my hair grows long! I was overall happy with the service but not the best i have had ! I had a express toner , wash , and style done , all services were good but the style didn’t hold even with products used - my hair usually holds styles very well. Staff are friendly and fun ! Again overall good experience, with a fair price.
