Best Mexican street food in the Kootenays. Come to experience our specialty Tacos, Tequila and Mezcal Cocktails. Open 11am 'til late every day!! Best place for lunch and late night eats. Brunch served on weekends and holidays 11am-3pm.

Story

Cantina del Centro is located in Nelson, BC and offers authentic and unique Mexican street food. We also host the largest selection of Tequila and Mezcal in The Kootenays and one of the largest in all of BC!

Our handcrafted cocktails are one of a kind and on Friday and Saturday nights our bar gets hopping. So come join us for a Ginger Cardamon Margarita or for those who like a smokier taste, the Mezcal Mule!

We also offer Latin Brunch on Saturday and Sundays from 11am-3pm. Serving Huevos Rancheros and mouth watering Maple Chili Bacon.

Taco night was a great way to try several tacos and don't miss enjoying a margarita with your meal. I had the ginger cardamon margarita so much flavor. Tacos I tried the fish, shrimp, avocado and squash. The shrimp and the avocado were my favorites. Make sure you ask for hot sauce. Service was great.
This place was below average in food. This is the most plain burrito I've ever eaten in my life. Service was fast, tho waitress could have been a bit more friendly, their hot sauce was awesome and the only way I could eat our burritos thats the only reason why I'm giving them 3 starts. I don't recommend, won't be back either.

Great Margs! The patio was nice and relaxing. Our server was very nice and professional. This would've been a 5 star review but the food and drink service was very slow today. We were there 2pm and 330pm and it was surprisingly and unfortunately slow. It's a good thing that we didn't have anywhere to be.
Vanessa and Sam were awesome hosts! Best margaritas in BC!! Loved the atmosphere and felt totally taken care of.
