Sarah was an excellent staff and host. Great deal on kids meal where a purchase gets you an ice cream at the ice cream shop next door June 2022. Kids meal portion was really good too. Good bar pub design on the inside and looks like lots of events happen there during the week. Didn't get a chance to visit the patio outside but looked like a nice scene too. Kid-friendliness: Good kids meal portion and was able to get coupon for an ice cream at the shop next door Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Had a ramp going into entrance
We were visiting from out of town and came across this nice pub in the Lakefield area. The patio and indoor seats fill up quick during main times to eat. Be sure to make an RSVP. At the time of our visit, the indoor dining was completely booked out by two parties who made RSVP ahead of time. For all patrons, it would be nice to have signage to communicate this on the door out in front. Otherwise, food and service were great!!
Very pleasant service even though they were under staffed on the civic holiday Monday. We ate a taco bowl and wings. The Cajun dry rub was very good and just the way I like them. They had some craft beer selections as well. We will return in the future.
Great pub food and more. Live music at times. Fish and chips were great. Grilled cheese sandwich was the best I can remember. All large portions. Outside tables available.
Have been a few times as it's the perfect location for a motorcycle road trip and they can always accommodate seating indoors or out back. Today I ordered a salad bowl with chicken. It was ridiculously huge. My husband ordered a burger and it did not disappoint. I'll never understand why some restaurants have frozen burger patties. So when the man wants a burger and it's a nice homemade burger, I'm happy, he's happy. Hubby likes lime cordial in his beer and they didn't have any ... I found that odd but still one of our favourite go to road trip lunch places. Staff were very nice and helping each other which was nice to see.
Order takeout yesterday and unfortunately was very disappointed when we got home and opened our food. The poutine I got was very sparse on cheese but the flavor of the gravy was good. The greek salad I got was 90% lettuce with barely any other ingredients. Absolutely no feta cheese was used. This was not a meal sized restaurant quality salad worth $12.
Nice pub for a beer and some food on a rainy day. Service was excellent, not much waiting we arrived a bit early, around 5pm. The food could be better. Had the portobello "burger", for 17$, but too much mayo made it soggy and it was lacking the expected pesto flavor. The fries did not impress either. For our wings order we could not get the typical celery, carots and blue cheese dressing, it was not an option on their menu. The wings came with a very symbolic salad as side, and the fries were 6$ extra. This was listed as appetizer, so I understand the side had more of a decorating function for the plate. Overall not bad, but nothing to wow my taste buds.
A group of our friends got together at the Canoe and Paddle. This was my first time here. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The selection of craft beer was wonderful and it was still happy hour. We enjoyed getting caught up outside on the patio. We ordered and our food was hot and delicious. Looking forward to returning for another great meal.
Food portion and quality were great. Server was very friendly. They have a large patio.
Super friendly, good service. Food was perfect. We'd just spent 3 days camping in the backcountry & nobody called us out for being stinky & dirty. : The only reason for not giving a 5 star was that my tiny brain couldn't find a happy place in the mash up of play lists between the dining room & the kitchen. Def recommended - nice, easy, quick, good & reasonable prices.
