Being the flagship store in Edmonton, this store has the best selection of products and well stocked. The parking is very limited given the size of the store and the traffic. But I guess the location is pinned in the corner and it will never get better. They have some really cool displays in the store that will get kids excited!
Worst Canadian Tire in Edmonton! Considering it’s the Flagship store in Edmonton with only 3 Cashier available with a long line up around 8pm. Slippery and Messy Floor. The store closes at 10pm, why would Canadian Tire only use ONE DOOR for Exit and Entrance for the customers. I would understand if it’s 30 mins prior on closing of the store but it’s only 8pm and there’s lots of customers coming in and out of the store. If the reason is for security purposes, what’s the used of the security person in the Entrance door. Oh Wait! He is chatting with the Greeter staff instead of doing his job. Doesn’t make sense at all closing the Exit Door. Overall, the store itself is so DISORGANIZED
Largest Canadian Tire in the country and great example for both other Canadian Tires & retail stores in general • how to localize the store experience • how - in addition to arriving to purchase an item - the retail experience can be curated visually to draw customers
I claimed tire Warranty, and staff checked my old tires and ordered new tires for me. I thought everything went smooth and trusted them. However, when I sent my car in to get tires installed after several days of waiting, they called me that I was not eligible for the warranty. I had to drive back home with nothing done. It was such a waste of my time and they won’t make up for my loss. Very very disappointing experience. I suggest not trust Canadian Tires and go buy tires somewhere else who won’t let you come and go multiple times to get things done- oops! It was not done in my case. Also don’t buy extended warranty. It’s a waste of money. I won’t buy any tires from them. Costco has better customer service and much cheaper price for tire exchanges. They also ripped my tire bags without replacing new bags, and put non-fully covered dirty tires in my back seat and trunk. Updates: Manager Trevor followed up on my case and helped me through. It was a quick response after I contacted Canadian Tire Corporate Customer Relations. I eventually had my tires exchanged. Thank you.
Amazing Canadian Tire location. I think it's the largest in Canada. Two stories with lots of inventory and a decent sized Lego section too Lots of sports gear and accessories etc. Appliances galore as well!
Big thanks to the automotive department for absolutely nothing. Three employees sitting around doing nothing. Literally sitting. I ask for help with some windshield wiper blades and I'm told to "go wait". What? Fine. I picked my own. Thank goodness a tablet stuck to the wall is able to provide at least basic information. Cash out and the lady at the till exudes displeasure and only mutters under her ill fitting mask "payment?". What's going on? Are the staff being held against their will? I'd rather take my chances with my car getting vandalized at the 118ave location then come back here. Big fancy store with a bad attitude problem. Thumbs all the way down.
Do not come here for any auto inspections. After scheduling an appointment in advance, a 30 minute Out of Province Inspection still ended up taking 4 hours. They failed our vehicle for some items that were not even required on the inspection checklist, quoting over a grand in total repairs in order for them to pass the car. Went to get it inspected somewhere else and passed without issue… Also worth mentioning we called in advance for pricing, and then were charged more upon arrival. Definitely do not recommend.
Auto service department is an absolute joke! I wish I could give less than 1 star. I went in for an engine diagnostic and 8am the guy told me I will need the code scan first followed by the engine diagnostic which would take one hour and they’ll call me. 10am rolls around as I’m still waiting I go up and ask what is taking so long and the guy tells me they just finished getting the codes and are about to start the engine diagnostic which will take another hour and they will call me once it’s ready. They call me right before noon saying the codes and diagnostic is complete. 4 hours to run a code and engine diagnosis is pathetic and no way should I have to pay for 4 hours of labour when they did absolutely nothing. I get quoted at $850 with labour, parts, and taxes all in to have my things fixed at 12pm they tell me on the phone it will only take a couple more hours. I receive a call at 7pm to come pick it up for 7:30pm I get there and notice that they fixed multiple more things in my vehicle that were NOT authorized for and just got done elsewhere!! My total bill was $2000 when I was told it was only $850!! I have been waiting all week to talk to a manger who has been avoiding all calls and communication. This place is the worst to get any work done at. DO NOT RECOMMEND, STAY AWAY.
We went to this store by the South Common to buy Christmas ornaments for our next theme next year which is woodland animals. We didn't find much but one tree ornament caught my eye which was this super cute squirrel. So I grab it before it's gone because it's the only one left. I bought it for $6.81. When we were on our way to another Canadian Tire, I realized that it shouldn't cost this much for a tiny ornament and also it should be on clearance. So I thought maybe the other store would look it up for me. Fast forward we were in luck. We found a lot of woodland ornaments at this other CT at Manning. So I proceed to customer service and asked her if she could check the price of the one ornament and if she could adjust the price for me. She said she couldn't because it's what it's showing when she scan it. And she confirmed it's the regular price. I asked her if she could help me and adjust the price to clearance. She refused. And said it's the policy. ??? I was shocked at the quality of customer service that I was given. How is it hard to look for a manager and assist me? How is it hard to look up for that ONE item in the system to know the clearance price of it? We bought $200+worth of Christmas items last night and she couldn't help me with a one very tiny problem. So frustrated, annoyed and disappointed. Wow! You should retrain your customer service asap.
Always amazing. The equivalent of this store needs to be in the USA, Not a fan of the automotive repair section as I have my own resources but the store and contents are amazing. After response from the CT Team addition. If you happen to have a Canadian Tire Triangle Mastercard the rewards can be simply astounding if that your primary spend method. We have earned enough CT money for 2 Free Vacuums, free small appliances, free pot sets, free pots and so much more over the years. Still have several hundred $ equivalent to spend. In addition to that the tools are amazing, the prices are unmatched and the sales are nothing short of incredible. If you're American and visit Canada, go to a Canadian Tire and see what you're missing.
