I had an unpleasant experience with Canadian Tire customer service. I asked to exchange a $10 note for ten $1 coins, but the staff told me they don’t exchange money due to concerns about counterfeit bills. I found this confusing, as they regularly accept my cash when I shop there. I then went to the Walmart next door, and they had no issue fulfilling my request.
Canadian tire often has a lot of promotions and items in clearance at an amazing price. We got a set of 3 greenpan pans for just $69+tax on clearance!
I usually spend a lot of time with my bicycle because it's easy to fit and compare product sizes. I planned to get parts for my bicycle today, but they didn't let me in, even though I've been going there weekly for the last three months. I'll try Walmart or other CT stores. Three stars for not letting me in with my bicycle. Ciao!
I’m very disappointed with this auto service. Before even asking anything, the director immediately said, “Last time, you didn’t tell us to change the battery.” That’s not how professional service works—when I bring my car in, I expect them to properly diagnose the issue, not just do what I suggest.nnI had the starter replaced there only two months ago, and now my car didn’t start again. This time, they charged me a very high labor fee just to install a battery—almost the same cost as the battery itself.nnThis kind of service is neither professional nor reasonably priced. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend them to anyone.
I had an appointment for an inspection, but they made me wait for 2 hours. The inspection they performed was useless. I paid $70 only to be told I needed to replace everything related to the wheels.nnI drive my van around 5,000 to 6,000 km per week. When it started shaking, I didn’t have time to visit my regular mechanic, so I went to Canadian Tire. I often get my oil changes done there because my regular garage is farther away.nnThe last time I saw my mechanic, about a month ago, he replaced a few parts and assured me the van was in great shape. So, when the shaking started, I figured I might have hit a pothole and just needed a minor repair.nnAt Canadian Tire, they gave me a quote of over $1,400, claiming I needed suspension work, new brake pads and rotors, maintenance, both front tie rods replaced, and more. This seemed excessive, so I decided to consult my regular mechanic.nnIn the end, all I actually needed was an alignment and new brake pads. My mechanic even confirmed that one of the tie rods had been replaced two months ago and the other was still in good condition.nnWhen I called Canadian Tire about this, they simply said, “Oh well, we have different standards.” So, beware—if you’re missing air in one of your tires, they might tell you that you need a new tire, rim, axle, and alternator “while we’re at it.”nI strongly recommend avoiding this place.
