I honestly love this store, especially because of their return policy. Never had any issue with them and the staff is incredibly courteous. Always check for their discounts first. Great deals.

I am writing this review not for revenge, but because I fight for a bigger cause. I am a Registered Nurse, Brazilian born, American citizen and I live in North Carolina. I went to visit my in-laws who just welcomed a newborn, and I stayed 10 days in Quebec city. I loved Quebec city, and I enjoyed the interactions I had with people in stores, restaurants and public places. I have a very good impression of Canadians and Canada. Except for a horrible experience I had in this store, Canadian Tire, I loved Canada. On October 31st 2013 I went to the Canadian Tire store with my brother-in-law and nephew to purchase a Halloween costume for my nephew and to look for a souvenir for my husband. We didn't find a Halloween costume for my nephews' size, so we decided to leave the store. On my way out, one of the employees stopped and requested to search my bag, without any apparent reason. This has never happened to me in the US, and although I found it weird, I didn't contest, I showed her my bag. My brother-in-law was then talking to another employee and asking if they had Quebec souvenir, and they directed him to go to a specific isle. I didn't want to go back because I didn't feel comfortable being searched, but I went back with my brother-in-law to not upset him. Well, we didn't find the souvenir, and about 3 minutes later, we were leaving the store again, and guess what? The lady asked to search my bag again. I had to leave to go to the airport, so I didn't make any deal of it...I showed her my bag and left the store feeling humiliated. I don't speak French, and my brother-in-law, who lives in Quebec and speaks French, asked her why was she doing it, and she replied that it was a normal procedure since we were one of the first clients of the day. It's ironic that I didn't see them searching for anyone else's bag, but mine, and keep in mind that I was the only no white person in the store at the moment (of what I could see). I have dark-skin and dark hair. My brother-in-law has contacted the store manager, and requested to complain for higher management, and the costumer corporation expressed that such a procedure (search for my bag), is not normal store police. Right now, I'm going to file a complaint in the Better Business Bureau and wait to see the company's answer. I am not doing this for myself. What happened to me was in the past (yesterday). Yes, I was humiliated, but I'm doing because I believe in this cause, that no one should be discriminated in basis of racial profiling.
