If you are a history lover or mad about aviation dont miss out on this place. Its perfect for that Sunday 'lets do something' mood especially with kids. Informative, exciting and intriguing. You can watch the planes and helicopters take off and landing , which is a hit with kids. The place is full of information if you are looking for that special project for school as well. The gift shop is small but sufficient. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very very helpful. No limits to time, stay as along as you like. NOT A WHOLE day thing though. The place has some interactive stations, and videos to watch as well. The cockpits are not open to sit in but can certainly have a good look inside as the steps are attached to the planes outside. Lots of models on display and a few model planes available to build at home. Prices in gift shop are very reasonable. All up.. cheap and fun and clean!
If you're into aviation and history, this is a must stop when heading east from Vancouver. Unfortunately, we visited on a rainy day, so the kids were not able to sit inside the cockpits of the planes. However, they still had plenty of fun looking at the various planes, engines, and designs. They were able to get up close and personal with these aircrafts and learn about their history. If you took your time to read all of the descriptions and learn, you can easily spend 2-3 hours at the museum. The staff was very friendly and gave us a good introduction to the place. I highly recommend it.
Amazing adventure for the kids to see aviation history and experience what it's like sitting in the cockpit of fighter or imagining what it would be like to jump out of a transport plane. Highly recommended for the entire family to enjoy. There is a nice picnic area to enjoy lunch watching planes and helicopters take off from the runway as well.
Great exhibits and the staff are fantastic. It was also very cool to see that they sell all kinds of memorabilia and model airplanes. We had lots of fun and would definitely recommend as a family activity.
Great little museum by the Langley airport. Lots of interesting pieces and very affordable. We came in the rain and there are things to look at outside but they kindly provided some umbrellas. There is a picnic area right next to the runway that is free of charge that we will check out on a nice day. Overall highly recommend! Everything in the gift shop was very reasonably priced as well.
Nice place to spend some time. The museum has an entry ticket which costs about 12 Canadian dollars for adults and eight Canadian dollars for children.
Super fun and informative. It's nice to go to a museum where you can get up close to the exhibits.

This is an amazing museum that both plane enthusiasts and others would enjoy visiting. First, there are countless planes, both actual and replicas, to explore, along with descriptions of them and interesting histories of their uses. Some models they have are very rare to find. Second, every staff member and volunteer we encountered was extremely friendly. Robert, our volunteer tour guide, was very knowledgeable about planes and seemed so excited to share his knowledge, which made us excited to hear what he had to teach. We learnt a lot from him over the approximately 30 minute tour. Lastly, the place is very well laid-out, with the option to only go to the indoor portion of the museum if it rains too heavily and a clear path for visitors to follow. Thank you to the whole team at the museum for the great experience!
Indoor and outdoor displays. In a compact area there are a lot of aircraft, engines, armament, interesting and fact-filled signage. I discovered that Langley and Abbotsford have made a tremendous to aviation, particularly during World War II. The gift shop is a fun and interesting to visit with a selection of pictures, books, models and pins all at exceptionally reasonable prices. The staff enjoy helping visitors!
