CamRock County Park

As a resident of Cambridge for many years, I love the beauty of these trails. I would suggest, however, that you may want to look elsewhere if you are wanting a place to hike or walk your dog. The trails are all marked for bikers and pedestrians. In the past three years, however, the bike traffic has increased significantly with the popularity of the trail. The bikers move quickly, and few use bells or warn of their approach. It's dangerous for pets and pedestrians, especially on the single track trails. Its better in the winter when the foliage is gone and you can look ahead for traffic.

Nice shelter area for picnics. Basic playground for kids.

Really diverse trails. Something for all skill levels me and my friend (who is totally real) biked this for a couple hours and when we wanted more advanced trails were able to find them easily. The staff is also very attentive, and a lovely young woman who was a member of the sheriff's department gave us a map. To my dismay it did not contain her phone number.

Probably one of the best, if not the best, parks in Dane County. Worth the trip to Cambridge to visit. Great mountain bike riding and walking trails. Beautiful and peaceful.

Lot of mosquitoes near hiking path way.
