Camping Aventure Sentinelle

Underestimated. One of the best campground for families in Lanaudière. Their wipe-out area is awesome. Their checkout time is respectful for families, around 2PM. This place deserves respect just for that. Thanks for keeping Camping as a family oriented activity!

Didn't see much of the camping. I was just there as a visitor. Seems pretty nice and friendly although you are packed together like sardines. Not sure if other campgrounds are like this. If you're looking to get away from humans, this is not the place to go. Took at trip down the lazy river. You can walk across as the deepest part went to my waist. There aren't many bugs in the main camping area but make sure to take some spray if you're going near the river.

I booked this campground because of the inflatable water obstacle course. My kids were looking forward to it all summer. On our arrival, the obstacle course was closed lack of lifeguards that day. The following day we showed up at the 10:00 opening, it was not ready. When it was ready we were told that our smaller 4, 5, 7 children would need an adult with them as they would have difficulty doing the obstacle course. This obstacle course is maybe okay for teenagers. What we were not told is that the obstacle course is in need of replacement and is very dangerous. The velcro that is supposed to hold the pieces together are all broken as are the handles to pull yourself up with are also broken. Within 5 minutes, one child slid down a slide and straight between the two sections to get stuck and was being pushed down by the pieces of the obstacle course. My big for her age 9-year old child fell off and was unable to get back on with the broken straps. I was unable to get myself on easily with the broken straps. What was most shocking was the lack of awareness or concern from the lifeguards. The child falling between the pieces screaming did not alarm the lifeguard. When I spoke to the lifeguard head guard according to his jacket, his response was that a child cannot drown with the lifejacket on and that nobody has ever drown there. Throughout the weekend the lifeguards at the pools and beach were unattentive. Sitting with friends in a lounge area, having friends socializing at poolside. Otherwise, the beach area and waterslide was nice. Our lot was big. The play structure was good. We ended up going to the Domaine Sentinelle site for most of the weekend with the lake being cold and the water obstacle course being dangerous.

Good familial camping with 2 pool one heated. Water Slide was closed during our whole week this summer.

Their 'camping rustique' is not 'rustique' at all. Crammed together like sardines, approx 5 feet away from the neighboring lot. We left one day early because there was no privacy, and basically hated it. This feels more like a day-camp for you to bring your kids to. Service was so-so; disorganized and took a long time to book in & out approx 20 mins each. They are good at COMMERCIAL CAMPING. Wood costs 8$ a bag.

We can extend the day of departure for only $2/hour a big plus for us!! The less positive points: there is a fairly large distance between the 2 campsites and the row and the coast are not super safe. It is absolutely necessary to take the car to shuttle between the 2 campsites to swim in the swimming pool of the domain. Also, a bit of a shame that the animation is at one or the other of the locations. It forces us to take the car again in the evening and sometimes even in the dark. Also, my sister-in-law came to pitch her tent for 1 night on our land and we charged her $65 for 2 adults and 1 child. She arrived at noon and was dispatched the next day at 5 p.m. It's expensive the day let's say. In summary, nice campsite but not my favourite. Malheureusement, je n'ai pas eu le choix donc cette partie n'est pas la faute du camping. J'avais le terrain 400... direct dans l'entrée, super passant, juste devant le parc. Bref, c'est le pire terrain du lot. Il y avait des centaines de mouches, à un point tel que c'était désagréable d'être dehors pour souper. C'est peut-être à cause du mini ruisseau d'eau stagnante tous le tour du terrain. Bon, dans les points positifs: les terrains sont assez grands, le personnel est TRES gentil, la zone wipeout est assez cool malgré la loooongue attente. Les toilettes douches sont super propres ! A+ a ce niveau. On peut extensionner la journée du départ pour seulement 2$/heure un gros plus pour nous!! Les points moins positifs: il y a une assez grande distance entre les 2 camping et le rang et la côte ne sont pas super sécuritaires. Il faut absolument prendre la voiture pour faire la navette entre les 2 campings pour se baigner à la piscine du domaine. Aussi, un peu dommage que l'animation soit à un ou l'autre des emplacements. Ça nous force à prendre encore la voiture en soirée et parfois même à la noirceur. Aussi, ma belle soeur est venue planter sa tente 1 nuit sur notre terrain et on lui a chargé 65$ pour 2 adultes et 1 enfant. Elle est arrivée à midi et répartie le lendemain à 17h. Ça fait cher la journée mettons. En résumé, beau camping mais pas mon préféré. SI nous y retournons, il est officiel que nous réserverons au domaine et non à aventure. Il est plus adapté à nos besoins.
