About
Non-Profit Public Art Gallery serving North Vancouver Island, exhibiting contemporary art.
Story
The Campbell River Art Gallery exhibits the contemporary art of professional artists from across Canada in our main exhibition space, as well as in our three satellite cases. The Gallery offers workshops for adults and youth, school and community gallery tours (followed by an art activity), artist in the school programs, Super Saturday free art-making sessions, films and other special events.
"The Campbell River Art Gallery exhibits the work of professional visual and media artists from across Canada in our Main Gallery and Satellite Gallery. Our specific focus is on supporting artistic projects from under-represented positions within contemporary art practice. We opened in 1994 and remain Campbell River’s sole public non-profit gallery, serving the surrounding regional districts and islands. Our annual exhibition program is at the core of all the activity at the Gallery, directing workshop themes, lectures, school tours and community outreach. Thank you for supporting ART THAT MATTERS!"
