Good service. Their Smokey bbq type meals are good. Wish they had some leaner/less saucy options. The jambalaya was pretty good. The table hot sauce was tasty but very mild. I hear they have good take out. Their traveling rib food station at local fairs is amazing.
Unfortunately I was disappointed in a few categories here. We went as a family, all of us were super hungry and excited for some good BBQ. It was 15 minutes before our waitress attended our table. Thats fine we understand, it was a full house. Full house means good food right? When the food finally arrived it looked really good. Presentation was on point for a quick photo op. However we all found it to be very lack luster, especially considering the price tag. No alcohol, 2 adults three kids came to over 130$ plus tip. Non of us finished our meal and not because of the portion being to large. The ribs were dry and hard... I love pulled pork however I could only muscle down one bite, the consistency was tough and it did not taste fresh. The chicken was good and my daughter loved the mac and cheese also the pan bread was tasty. Perhaps it was just an off night for the cooks and staff? but for what we paid I expected much better. Over all our experience here was a bust. Nothing was note worthy enough to justify returning. For a place that has prices on par with the Keg, hungry customers shouldn't be leaving half their meal unfinished. In contrast I have had Camp 31 ribs at rib fest. Which were exceptional hot, juicy, bursting with flavor soaked in sauce For that reason I thought this place would be a sure bet. Instead I'm sorry to say it was a let down. What happened?
I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich, hubby ordered brisket, ribs and fries, my little boy ordered chicken strips and fries. We also started off with deep fried pickles. EVERYTHING was AMAZING and came out quick and hot. We love this place.
Fantastic barbecue joint! Lots of choices, and they all involve meat! They have classics from the pit, including ribs pork or beef, burgers, brisket, and chicken. They also have southern style fried chicken, which has a wonderful, delicious, thick crispy coating. Prices are reasonable, and you definitely get good value for your dining dollars. Just be prepared though - you will get your fingers and lips covered with delicious sauces! Parking: Ample free parking on site.
BBQ heaven. The baked beans were awesome. The catfish was breaded with just the right amount of batter and seasoned so nicely. The chicken was fried to perfection and tasted amazing. The fries and the sweet potato fries were delicious and the portions were huge. The cornbread was tasty and moist and they give you a huge piece for $3. The server Krista was attentive and the food came out quickly. I was super impressed and will definitely be back over and over again to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended.
Got nachos, pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich. Really impressed with brisket, everything else was Usual. It's a busy spot so if you are going around peak time.expect to wait 20-45 mins. Everything is priced very decent. Good vibes. Parking: Big parking lot. Won't find issue finding a spot
Hubby and I were just returning from our wee holiday in Paris, Ontario, when we stopped off here to check this cute little place out. We were both looking for just a small sampling as we needed lunch but weren't terribly hungry having had so many great meals out these past few days in Paris. Unfortunately, this made our decisions quite hard as there were sooo many lovely options to choose from and the smells of smoked and BBQ meat were strong enough to make you want it all!! I ordered the mac & cheese with pulled pork - OMG, soooo good. I moaned and did a little happy dance in my seat! The hubby ordered wings and ribs and he was very content too. I am a huge fan of cornbread so ordered an extra to take home. While I don't typically see a bucket put on the table, I must say, it was a great idea. But, something many don't appreciate, and take for granted, I will add that the napkins were super strong, large and soft - that's a definite plus for a hand's on BBQ place. Nice touch. The waitress was helpful and energetic. The restaurant was decorated for happy eaters. The country music made me love it even more. I can see why they have won so many awards! I have added this place as a destination for a motorcycle day trip with friends this summer! PS: Loved 'mater out front!
Not even sure where to start. Super friendly staff, from the minute you walk in, the smell takes you to new heavenly heights. Five dinners, perfectly cooked, with leftovers for midnight snacks. Soooooo full but so ready to go back again!
Very flavourful ribs! The place was very busy when we visited but the wait time was reasonable. The serving size was generous and there was a kids menu. The chicken was a bit dry, but I love the choice of sauces and the ribs were satisfying. Kid-friendliness: There was a kid menu with drinks that come in a special cup! Parking: The place was busy when we visited but there was enough parking. Mater is there to welcome you!
BBQ done better than the best! Had the Wings and 1/2 Chicken can't beat it. Parking: Lots of parking.
