The Camden-Rockport Historical Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation of the historical legacy of Camden and Rockport, Maine.
The homestead is one of the earliest houses in the region. It was built in the late 1700s on Lot 27 by Simeon Tyler and was bought in 1807 by Robert Thorndike, Jr. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Antique furniture and farm equipment on display reflect the time period. Also on the property are a blacksmith shop, 19th-century barn, and a maple sugar house. Museum collection includes historical photos, ship models, clothing, and other artifacts related to local history.
