I had a good experience with this registry. Wait times are okay but can get busy. The road test was as simple as scheduling a time online and showing up with an id, simple and easy. My first instructor, made me feel a bit tense, but comfortable however I feel like I was not fairly tested especially on the points system. Got points for things I was doing. Also, I made the same mistakes several times during the test but was not even given a hint or pointer about what I was doing was wrong. Lost a lot of points cause of this. I also felt like I stopped at the stop sign for a decent time, and proceeded when safe, however, was failed for this, and it got marked down twice as failed. They gave me decent feedback on what I had to improve for next time, however. The second instructor was amazing. Made me feel very comfortable when driving, almost felt like I was just driving with a friend. Gave great pointers and told me my mistakes while doing the test. I was able to pass my class 5 test. Thank you so much. I left with a class 5 license, and good feedback. My biggest tip for anyone is to get familiar with the area. Stop signs, etc. Also, sometimes you might get marked for not shoulder-checking, make it very obvious you are, but don't get yourself distracted. One more important thing, is don't roll your stop signs, make sure to come to a complete stop, and wait a good 3-5 seconds being proceeding. Good luck to everyone doing their test. This registry is the best, staff are nice and very helpful. My nephew and I had our road test and our examiner was Faiqa. She is the best, I was so nervous the first time I took my road test and she made me feel calm and relaxed. Very professional examiner. She gave clear instruction's, gave honest comments and motivated me when I failed on my first attempt.She was like, don’t stop trying and keep going. I did take my road test again and it was Faiqa my examiner and I passed. Thankful to this beautiful lady and to all Callingwood registry staff. Great experience in deed.
I had a very good experience getting my driving license from collingwood registry. The staff there was very polite and helpful. I must say the driving examiner, Raj, is a true professional, honest and very detail oriented person. He explained everything after my test was over and hence it helped me figure out the areas of improvement and pass the driving test the next time.
Did the road test with callingwood. Great experienced instructors and very well organized and well thought out! Process was nice and smooth and also people were very nice like they always are when I come in. Was given some things to work on more but I did pass my class 5 GLD license on the first try! Would most definitely recommend!! Thank you for this experience!
If there was a 0 star option to rate this place I would choose it. Many employees are going to be rude to you off the bat for no reason. I went here to get my Learners test done however as I was presenting legal documentation to one of the staff, their demeanor and negative attitude overshot the entire experience and made me feel judged and unwelcomed. People of all ages can come and get their learners done - doesn't matter if they are 16 or 30yrs old. Doesn't make you any less of a person if you want to do it when you're older in age. If you want genuine good customer service, don't go here.
Raj, very kind and professional, gave excellent feedback on my first test that allowed me to pass the second time. Fyka was my passing examiner, very friendly and helped to calm my nerves during the test. So very glad for the experience with both of them!
Very helpful staff. My examiner Mrs. Faiqa was really helpful for my advanced road test. I recommend this place for anyone doing their road test, especially for first timers.
I had great experience with this registry and particularly with my road test experience with Fiza. She is very professional and explains clearly the mistake I did. Im actually near to Millwoods area but I saw a lot of good feedback for this registery and Fiza as the examiner. I took my chance to drive to callingwood as I was frustrated in the other registry in my area and they are beyond reasons to fail you and unable to explain the mistakes and why you failed. I changed registry and im blessed that I encountered Fiza as my examiner. I did fail in my first attempt with her but it was reasonable and she cleared all the doubts and confusion I had when I was taking it in other registry. 2nd attempt I did pass and blessed that she was the same examiner I had. Thank you callingwood and to Miss Fiza for your professionalism and advises.
I was treated rudely by a person of Asian Heritage in a visit in which I was cancelling the drivers license of a dececed person as executor. I had questions with why certain things had to be done. She was at the separate window nearest the door and immediately became offended and raised her voice to a yelling level, and continued it throughout the conversation. I reacted back and became offended because I was disrespected. To raise her voice like that to a greiving person was unexceptable and unprofessional. I will refuse to deal with that person again and ask for somebody else.
Had great experience at this registry from registry stuff to road test. Faika was my examiner and even though I was not successful first attempt she gave me great tips and teach me how to correct my driving errors. Successful on my other attempt. Thank you so much.
