On May 4th I scheduled Calgary Trusted Cleaners to do a standard clean of the home. During their cleaning, they called me saying they'd need to charge nearly double the price as they'd need to do a deep clean. I confirmed with them over the phone. When I got home there were several areas of the home not cleaned per their deep clean checklist. I texted them that I upgraded to a deep clean and showed them several areas which weren't touched. They agreed to come back three days later. On May 7th their employees came back to the house over two hours later than the agreed upon time. They said they would only do a standard clean and, after speaking to their business directly, refused to do the deep clean. Over a month later and a have now been double billed for the service they did not complete. I was hoping my credit card wouldn't have to be changed after giving it to them over the phone, but I do not trust them with my information.
I can't deep clean my two bedroom apartment in Calgary very often since I rent it out to two people while I live in Vancouver. That being said the kitchen, living room and bathroom floors, sinks and countertops aren't cleaned often. CTC was recommended to me and since then I've use their cleaners at the end of every single month to deep clean the living spaces. The quality is always a 10 / 10 and neither of the tenants have ever had a problem with the cleaners. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a local cleaning company.
My cleaners were late, and then when they didn't complete the walkthrough with me were cranky when they had to come back to finish the clean which again they didn't do right and I needed to clean multiple areas of the house but frankly I wasn't interested in having them back in and then during my move out walkthrough i discovered they literally ripped the bathroom door hinges out of the wall. They did offer to come fix it but as it was a move out clean I don't have possession of the house and that door will be a mark on the inspection and coming out of my damage deposit. A friend of mine also had the same experience. Not impressed that I payed 600 dollars for a partially cleaned house and a broken door.
Calgary Trusted is amazing, I’ve hired them on one off bases and then decided to have regular schedule cleans. I can’t be happier with the convenience and the service itself. There’s nothing like coming home to a freshly cleaned house. The team has become like a family to me and I wanted to post a review to thank them for making my life easier.
I chose Calgary Trusted Cleaners for my move in move out service deep clean condo. Usually 2 cleaners are sent. They sent Asha to clean my condo. Asha worked so hard on every item on your checklist. I was very impressed with her work ethic and her enjoyment of seeing her finished product appearing just like a brand new condo. Asha was very thorough and performed immaculate cleaning throughout. I highly recommend Asha and CTC for your cleaning services. Brandy King was very friendly, prompt and helpful in accommodating me. Thank you Asha and CTC for sending her. I am very satisfied. Randy
UPDATE: The response from Calgary Trusted Cleaners to my review really changed my view on the company. Brandy, the manager of the residential dept spent a lot of time on the phone with me to address the concerns I had with the service. Her professionalism, dedication and follow through were so impressive and very much appreciated. Adding a star for fantastic customer care. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hired for a move in clean b/c my usual cleaner wasn’t available. Prior to the job we discussed in great detail what would be covered, etc. The end result fell very short of expectations. Several areas were missed and the discussed items were not taken care of. Upon walkthrough I asked if said things were done and the answer was either no, and they quickly did it then, or yes, but wasn’t a great/thorough job. Maybe it was an off day.
It has taken me long time to write this review, but I wanted to make sure to warn others. We hired Calgary Trusted Cleaners in October for a full move-in clean of our new to us house. A service that cost over $500. The list on their website of what the clean entails was comprehensive and made us feel that it was worth it, as did talking to the person who originally set the appointment up. I was 6 months pregnant and my boyfriend had just had surgery and we wanted to make sure the house was ready for us to unpack and start living. Unfortunately we did not have that experience at all. Our house was disgusting when we moved in and we had to have our friends help us clean the entire house again after paying over $500 to have it cleaned already. Because we moved in that same night and didn't have a choice. The pictures are just a few of the ones we had time to snap, before we had to clean so we could move in. On top of which - it says on their website that they will call once the clean is done and we are able to inspect it to make sure everything was done. We were NEVER called and instead our credit card was charged without our knowledge before we ever got to see our place. To put it into perspective - the house was 100% empty when they did the clean, so most of what was on their list - emptying cupboards and cleaning them and putting everything back did not even have to be done, because they were empty. And, many of the services they offer - we didn't need as we didn't have There were so many things that were NOT done, it's hard to list them all. Over 75% of their list was NOT done. Basically it looks like they came in to our house, moved a couple things around to make it look like they cleaned and left. They didn't even empty the one garbage can that was full....even with explicit directions on top of the fact that it's supposed to be done according to their service agreement. I was very clear in the beginning that I wanted the EMPTY house to be fully scrubbed down as I was 6 months pregnant and my boyfriend has just had surgery so we were unable to take care of it ourselves. We trusted this company to do the job they were hired to do. We trusted them to clean as per their own checklist and standards and yet nothing was done. When I contacted the company - they offered to have someone come back - NO THANKS, not after the horrible job that was already done. Plus, we had made it very clear that we were moving in that same evening. So we couldn't have someone come back again while we were moving in. When I asked for a refund, I was told that we still had to pay $150 to cover the cost of the hours they worked because they contracted the clean out to another company. I reluctantly paid, so as not to have to deal with this company again. But we should've been refunded the entire amount, no question. It is not our problem that the company they contracted didn't do the job. It is up to Calgary Trusted Cleaners to deal with payment on their end - not to rip off their customer to cover their own costs. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. I would NEVER hire this company again and would be very weary of spending hundreds of dollars. It was a very stressful time for us already and they made it worse not better. *** edited to add - I think it's pretty sad that the response form the business included "regarding the content of your review, the information doesn't seem to be correct" - they have done this on any negative review they received. I have all the emails between us that show the content is exactly correct. Maybe just take the opportunity to learn and treat your customers better and lose the ego. And for the record - your company as per your policy did NOT contact me after our house was 'cleaned' - that was a huge part of the issue. Your response at the time against your own policy was "Unfortunately we are not available to follow up with every client but would have been happy to address any problem if they were brought to our attention sooner." BAD BUSINESS PERIOD.
Happy to recommend this cleaning company after going through many many residential companies in Calgary. I finally landed on Calgaru trusted cleaners and my experience has been anything short of amazing. Thank you for the service and friendly faces that have now become part of my life.
