Great spot to visit for amazing views of Calgary! The glass floor adds a fun thrill, and the city looks beautiful at sunset. Worth a stop if you’re downtown, but a little pricey for the time spent.
Easy ticketing process, and the staff were kind. It was a pretty straightforward place. Informational plaques on the wall with historical facts. The ride to the top was quick, and the wait wasn't long as there was only one family before ours. We visited at night, so the view was beautifully lit. The cafe had very few offerings of mini snacks and tea/coffee. Mini donuts were not available. There were some tables and chairs available too. There's a viewing room to watch the displayed films on the history of the tower. There were chairs available to watch.
Good for kids. Even adults like it too. They have a glass floor platform to walk on. Sunset looks spectacular. In the night city looks amazing. Plan your trip during non-hazy days as you can’t see rocky mountains then. Buying online tickets may help you to skip waiting in queue.nDon’t forget to watch the movie about the calgary tower and city’s history in the theatre at observation deck. The movie is 15-20 minutes n worth watching.nnNOTE: “Please ask for permission of attendants before filming them.” I know you are excited to capture everything, but some attendants working here might not be interested in becoming part of your photography n videography. So, keeping their rights n privacy in your mind, kindly show a gesture by taking their permission to film them. This will help them serve you well during your visit. :
While the Calgary Tower may no longer stand as the tallest building in the city, it remains an iconic landmark and a must-see attraction for visitors. The tower is well-managed and maintained, offering great views of the surrounding landscape. On a clear day, you can catch stunning vistas of the Rocky Mountains to the west and the expansive prairies to the east, along with a bird’s-eye view of downtown Calgary.nnThe glass floor section adds a thrilling touch for those looking to experience something unique. Plan to spend around 40-60 minutes here, depending on the weather and how much time you spend enjoying the views.nnThere are several public parking options within a short walk of the tower, making it convenient to visit. Overall, it’s a worthwhile experience when exploring Calgary.
The Calgary Tower is a must-visit for anyone exploring the city. Offering panoramic views of the entire skyline, it provides an unbeatable vantage point to soak in Calgary’s beauty. From the observation deck, you can see everything from the Rockies to the city's urban spread, making it a fantastic spot for both locals and tourists alike.nnOne of the most unique aspects of the Calgary Tower is its distinction as the tallest Olympic torch in the world, lighting up the city during the 1988 Winter Olympics. In comparison with other iconic towers globally, it may not be the tallest standing at 190.8 meters, but the experience it offers is uniquely intimate and centered around Calgary's charm, unlike the towering heights of structures like the CN Tower in Toronto or the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Its rich history and breathtaking views make it an essential stop during any Calgary trip!
