Went in today and bought a dozen custard tarts. They were not fresh! The custard was dry and the pastry was soggy! So disappointing! Worst custard tarts I have ever had! 12 tarts for $24 and they are going in the garbage. I tried calling the bakery to speak to a manager and it went to a voicemail that hasn’t been initiated so can’t even leave a message. Do not recommend! Won’t go back. Not like they used to be! It’s worth the trip to Toronto to get fresh tarts!
Missing Portugal.. so we went to Portuguese bakery. Pastry is not bad. Pastel is better when warm.. I like the store.. we'll try more next time
Been coming here for years and years, always delicious varieties and great service. You cannot be disappointed.
New Review: From five stars to one star. There is one male staff who basically overcharged my family's orders at least three times, and I have no plan to come back to this bakery any more. He took an advantage of people "taking away" and charged extra for ingredients or foods that were neither asked nor included. I asked a receipt every time, and that's how I found out. Nice try to collect dollars here and there, and you eventually lose a loyal customer. Congratulations. --------- I have tried almost all sandwiches on this restaurant's menu and I am still craving its sandwiches. They were all outstanding with very generous portion, and my special request every time of each order was accommodated no matter what it was. All bread this restaurant has are amazing and very kind in price. Pastries, I was in rush tasting them and missed taking pictures, are sweet and good. I am very glad that this restaurant is within my driving distance of half-an-hour and that it is always available for easy access!
I’ve gone in a couple times to grab tarts but asked today if they made sandwiches and so glad I did! They made the best sandwich with mortadella and salami with fresh lettuce tomato pickles.. literally best sandwich I’ve had. Not sure why anyone would go to subway or a franchise when you have this around. Will be back often best $7.50!

I love the Portuguese grilled ham and cheese! They make an awesome cappuccino here and offer a vast selection of pastries.
If only we knew that these desserts are so good, we bought more than we did. After having lunch in Poleiro, we decided to grab some desserts and coffee here. They are absolutely good! We had some plain ones and a nutella filled plus their chocolate mouse.... All good!

Portuguese style bakery, with tons of selection for pastries and desserts. Small but decent selection of European grocery items. Do a little carb loading and stick around for a double espresso..
