It was a good place to check out. Food was good. Nothing Mind blowing. Had Fish tacos and shrimp and lobster tacos as well. Fish taco were a lot better than the shrimp and lobster. Cheep baby shrimp doesn't cut it. They don't taste like anything and lobster is the same thing, Bland. My friend had a salmon Poke Bowl. Definitely not enough fish. Service was AMAZING!! Not only was Melenia Mel gorgeous but she was very attentive to details and can keep a conversation. I'm definitely coming back.
Really bad service. We brought my kid yesterday, the waitress gave us the table with high chair only for adult. We asked her can we wait other small table for my son being able to seat. She told us we can wait the table beside, other customers were leaving in 2 minutes. After 10mins waiting, the table was ready but the waitress told us all the tables reserved tonight, only 1 left with high chairs. All tables were reserved but no paper “ reserved “on it.First she told us wait that table, then she said this one reserved.Liar, racist and bad management.Because we have group of 3, but they want to give table with 4 chairs to other group behind us. Not like first come first serve. I should give them 0 star, never never come back there again. Avoid this service.
The service was amazing. The food was alright. The price of the beer was on the high side compared to other places I've been to that because of their location example at the old port their prices are to be higher. But overall my waitresses were impeccable.
Beside our waiter Louis nothing was good in this place...poor menu, they sent me the Clasic Nachos without any toping on, just a few hot peppers and olives some hot mayo , veryyyy disappointed ...not to talk about the waiting time. Please hire a real cook and bring back the Cage we had a few years ago...
The food is a lot better but still needs an upgrade to get to where they should be
The service was extremely slow, but the ambiance was nice and the food was good. The staff was also nice even if on the slow side. We started our lunch at 12 and finally finished at 15. I do mean pretty slow service.
Food was good,But the service is way to slow”and not because they were in a rush or anything. the waitresses just keep chitchatting…it was getting very frustrating…seems to be the same issue at this particular cage.
Terrible service, they set us up in a forgotten corner of the restaurant. The waitress kept tending the tables around us and unless we almost screamed for her attention she would ignore us. When we did finally get our meal it was delicious and hot so no complaint here. But getting our drinks, our order, our bill was loooooooong. They're wasn't even a big hockey game or sport's event that could explain that staff was swamped, just overall neglect of customers.
Good service minus one thing and good food. A bit pricey but overall I like it. Came to see the Impact play vs Toronto and ask for sound either French or English the play by play and they did NOT want to. They say they only put sound on important events. I was very disappointed since Le Cage is a Sport bar. Not sure if I will come back when it a Impact or Alouettes game.
Everything is overpriced for what you get. I've gone out of my way to make this review because it offends me that we spent so much on such terrible food. If you're going to step up your game, step up your kitchen as well. I also can't fathom that they find it appropriate to charge 15$ for 9 ounces of wine. Its a 12$ bottle of wine. I know restaurants pay more for alcohol but I've spent a whole lot less for a glass of much nicer wine in other restaurants. The second star is for the chicken wings. Those were wonderful. You should stick to what you're good at. Signed, Offended
