Story

For over 15 years, Cafenara has been serving organic, fair trade, in-house roasted coffee. In addition to providing a variety of soups, sandwiches, desserts, and snacks, Cafenara makes daily lunch specials.

Monday:
1. Quiche with green salad
- A selection between vegetarian or lorraine (bacon) quiche, served with a side of green salad in a homemade vinaigrette dressing topped with roasted almonds and craisins.

Tuesday:
1. Butter Chicken
2. Korean Salad Bowl (Bibimbap)
-Steamed rice served with an assortment of vegetables and Korean-style bulgogi chicken (marinated in a soy sauce based glaze).

Wednesday:
1. Lasagna with Caesar Salad and Garlic Toast
2. Chicken Souvlaki
- served with rice pilaf and Greek salad
3. Black Bean Quesadilla

Thursday:
Pad Thai
- with or without shrimp

Friday and Saturday
1. Chicken Teriyaki
2. Crazy Rolls
- the classic california roll deep-fried in a tempura batter and drizzled with teriyaki sauce, 8 pc.

Pad thai 1/10 - BLAND! lack of any real flavour and spice - i think their Pad Thai is made to cater to those lacking taste buds - the taste was so bland that calling this food Pad Thai is an insult to Thailand - will not eat here even if they paid me - your taste buds will get a disservice eating this - might even better to eat at KFC across the street at least their food has better spice and flavour than thisnngood coffee! better than starbucks in safeway in Terrace
Cafe/pastry order: Iced americano, caramel macchiato, tiramisu, blueberry cheesecake. The coffee has a rich, roasted, full taste! No sour after taste. Both of the pastries were really good and not too sweet. It looks like they have different specialty pastries/cake every time, which is nice. Definitely way better than other “trendier”/“newer” places in Terrace.nnBrunch order: special chicken bowl, pad thai, pomegranate raspberry homemade iced tea. Hubby liked the special chicken bowl; a karaage-type chicken with mayo, teriyaki sauce topping. The pad thai looks like a popular dish in this place, but it was mediocre-tasting/does not taste “authentic”… The noodles had a strong starchy smell and taste, and the sauce looked pale. I also wish it was served in a bowl for easier eating/mixing.nnAtmosphere wasn’t the best; it looks like it’s a fusion between an old restaurant and a cafe maybe they’re in the process of updating?. They had a lot of spots to access plug-ins so it was nice.nnWould definitely visit again for the coffee and pastries!

Always has great food. Makes the best chai lattes I've ever had. I love trying the seasonal drinks. Sometimes it gets busy so it would be nice if the seating had an overhaul, and with comfier seating.
We've ordered lunch for group of 25 people. The sandwiches and cookies were delicious, all our special dietary needs were carefully accommodated ingredience lists for the cookies, marked sandwiches, ordering and communication prior to pick up was timely and so helpful, the staff on the spot were also very nice and helpful. Great option in Terrace. Really good coffee and drink selection too! We will definitely return when we're back in Terrace.
