A taste of Tuscany. Welcome to Cafe Toscana.

Bringing a taste of the Old World to downtown Wilkes-Barre, Cafe Toscana is located at One Public Square in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

Our recipes are tried and true family favorites that represent the best that Tuscany and the surrounding region has to offer.

Cafe Toscana’s Northern Italian cuisine is light and delicate and allows the individual flavors to come through. We feature an array of tried and true family favorites, including veal, pasta, risotto, fish, steak and seafood, with a variety of specials to keep the menu always fresh and exciting. There are also an abundant asortment of homemade desserts on the menu.

A new and greatly expanded wine list gives customers plenty of choices for every dish and every palette.

Best Italian food I've ever had! Service is exceptional and prices are reasonable, paid less then $80 for app, two entries and two glasses of wine. Looks kind of shady outside but when you go in it's beautiful, cozy and romantic. Awesome date spot! Try the prosciutto melon app it's amazing!

Service was terrible. They were not inviting or warm. Did not ask if we wanted to start off with any drinks or appetizers. Did not check up on our table. It was on a Tuesday evening, not busy at all. Beautiful restaurant though , food was okay. I guess it's a hit or miss.

Enjoyed a great dinner that include a salad split (excellent ), chicken dinner with roasted red pepper and mozzarella cheese (excellent )!!

Food was very good and staff was incredible. Good wine selection and a desert menu to die for. We were greeted with complimentary bread after being seated and a glass of water. The staff ensured that we always had water/wine on our table throughout the entire dinner. Menu was larger than I expected and had a very good selection. After ordering, the food took longer than I was hoping for but when it finally came out it was delicious! The restaurant was quite when we arrived but due to the limited seating I can see the place getting busy very fast. Reservations are definitely a good idea if you plan on dining here. Overall this was a great dining experience. This place is excellent for a date or intimate dinner with close friends and family.

The service was polite but not particularly friendly, and incredibly slow. The four of us ordered at the same time, but only half of the orders were brought out at a time – the other half was brought out 20 minutes later. No explanation or apology was given. I asked for the small salad and was told I could add chicken. However, I was given (and charged for) the larger salad, which was literally twice as expensive. When I tried to get clarification about the check from the waiter, I was told that he had upgraded me to the larger salad – not what I ordered or wanted! Food was OK. Probably won't return.
