Normally I love coming here, but on my most recent mobile order I paid for steak and they gave me chicken didn’t notice until I had already gotten back to work
We love coming here and sharing a meal. The portions are HUGE and sharing is the best. Today we shared nachos. Delicious. We love that they offer a military discount. Come early because they are always busy. If you get their app and take part in the rewards program, you get such great deals.Food: 5/5
I have always loved cafe rio, but these last few times I’ve gone it’s been extremely disappointing and borderline disgusting. I always order the same thing every time, a sweet pork salad. Before, they used actual romaine lettuce leaves and it was very satisfying to eat. These past few times all I’ve gotten for lettuce is small disgusting lettuce scraps that don’t taste fresh at all. It’s the type of lettuce that belongs on a taco or burrito, not my salad. For the price of the salad, it’s not worth it. I’m beyond disappointed.

I go to this Cafe Rio at least once a week, sometimes twice. I have an obsession But I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the hard-working employees there. I know how hard it is to work in the food business and I feel like they do exceptionally well for how busy it can get there. I will say, I am pretty sad that they are discontinuing the vanilla coke but I will survive :' Cafe Rio always delivers. I love this place and I'm pretty sure you will too. Give it a try and just relax, it's all good. Five stars, hands down.
Love Cafe Rio but had a frustrating experience with online ordering and customer service at pick up. Ordered 6 items online and asked for delivery to my car. Notified them when I arrived and received a message my food was ready. No one came out to the car so I went inside and the person at the register was too busy running back and forth between inside register and drive through to talk to customers. Others were waiting for food orders as well. I finally gave them my name then continued to wait and wait, while inside customers were ordering and being served quickly. Finally got the attention of another employee but she couldn’t find proof of my order. At last they found my order and it had not been started, even though it said ready on the app. They prepared my order but forgot guacamole and a drink. It took an hour from ordering to getting my food, after waiting 40 min at the restaurant. I’d recommend not using the online ordering because it’s faster to order inside. One employee was apologetic but the others were indifferent and not helpful. The first person let me wait for a long time without telling me my order was missing or asking anyone else to help. Better training is needed.
So this is actually a follow up from a bad meal purchase, and a previous poor review. I was given two free meal tickets following my poor meal experience, and decided to give them another try. The meal was awesome. I guess the night I got a poor meal was a fluke. I decided to change my rating as mistakes can happen, and Cafe Rio made it right. My experience at Cafe Rio has always typically been great. So in all fairness, the review was changed.
I have loved Cafe Rio for years but this restaurant has changed my opinion on that. The food did not seem fresh, in fact, after taking a bite it was like I got a teaspoon of just salt. We walked into line and were the only ones there, we were ready to order but stood there for 10 minutes completely ignored by the staff as they scurried about prepping online orders? The restaurant seemed dirty and was not very inviting as we sat and tried to enjoy our subpar meal. I am not a fussy person but this was the most disappointing experience I've had in a long time.
This last visit I tried to use my $5 off birthday scan and they told me their scanner wasn't work so I would not be getting the discount. No attempts was made to make it right. I have a hard time spending $12 on a salad without a drink. This isn't the first time I've had an issue with scanning and points with Cafe Rio in Idaho Falls. I used to be a regular visitor to the Rock Springs Cafe Rio then moved to Idaho, after dealing with this store I'm no longer a regular. Thanks Cafe Rio for not giving me the Birthday discount, it helped me make up my mind on keeping the app on my phone.
