Wow. Simply wow. Mexico just reopened after being closed for a few months. They have a new chef, new menu, and are forging a new path in the dining industry. Every item we had was made fresh to order and included the chef coming to table side! Fantastic service. I highly recommend the fish taco and the spicy margarita!
A home cooked meal with a Mexican twist. True Mexican dishes make it onto the menu here, rather than the TexMex style most places serve. Cozy atmosphere and great drinks make this a favorite destination.
Did takeout, service was good. Tacos were okay, they're not authentic but are good if you're in a pinch. Ordered tacos, burrito and chips/guacamole.
I love supporting local. However bad food is bad food. Stone cold food. Nacho’s stone cold for a Mexican place you’d expect some of the best nacho’s ever super sad. Tacos cold Sour. Doesn’t have a drink menu but can tell you all about it. Doesn’t try and help you order. I don’t know how they are making money. There’s no money in just food. Mostly in drink. Better figure it out guys or you’ll close sadly. Find someone to manage that place.
I’m writing this review because of the service I received from one of the waitresses there. I believe her name was Crystal she was extremely helpful. My mother-in-law does not speak English and she was more than accommodating. Went above and beyond with the service. I just made our experience that much more enjoyable. I recommend this book to anyone looking to celebrate with friends or if you’re looking to have a casual date night. I also noticed when we were there they had a great special during lunch and of course specials on taco Tuesday! The food was incredible I had the taquitos made with chicken to start and fish tacos with Side of Mexican rice. My spouse had the pork belly tacos we traded one for one and both are extremely delicious. Wonderful restaurant wonderful service!
We went to “Mexico “ tonight for dinner and it was fantastic! It was our first time back since the new owners took over. The food was great, portions were great and the service was also great. We will definitely be going back here again and again.. Give it a try, you will love it.
I love Mexican food and am a frequent visitor to Mexican Town in Detroit. Mexican Town this is not. The inside is decent enough but I would say it has a cold uninviting atmosphere overall which honestly also embodies their food. For the price I expect at least medium tier food and instead find food a tier below Queseda which is half the price and twice as good. If you are going to spend money on a Mexican meal outside the house Los Puntos is a far superior option in my humble opinion. The best thing on the menu is the cauliflower tacos. The boldest thing about this restaurant is the fact they called themselves Mexico.
I never write reviews but my experience here last night was a real shame. It took an hour and 20 mins for us our order of 5 tacos, 1 guacamole/ chips, and a ceviche. We ended up having to ask for them to just directly bring our meal when ready is take out boxes, because we were now late for our show at the theatre. We were apologized to for the wait, and told they took off a couple items on the receipt for the inconvenience. Once we walked out the door, we realized not only did they take it off the receipt… they just didn’t give us the items hahaha Tacos were dry, bland, and my fish taco didn’t have any fish on it. Super disappointing. Not sure what the heck they’re doing over there.
On the border between Canada and the USA this is a good early attempt at Mexican cuisine we were told it was " quite new" for the owners...but it was weird to see even in the chalkboard that they had only crossed out the things they no longer served rather than advertising freshly the things they did...I had " fish Veracuz" ..what kind of fish was it? We were right beside the great Lakes! Find some fresh fish and make it a thing! Fresh perch tacos anyone??
When you find yourself in Sarnia, and you want some excellent Mexican, go here. Yes, their tacos use wheat flour tortillas, which would be a bit better if corn, but they were still great. Their tostada's use corn tortillas. The shrimp and fish was perfectly fried, lightly breadedor it was corn starch but it was some of the best tostadas I've ever had. The hot sauces were plentiful, and if you want to try something unique and amazing, they had a blueberry scotch bonnet that really put the zip in my food. Oh, and who loves churros with the proper dulce de leche? I do. I do. They were perfectly fried here with a touch of cinnamon sugar...so, you know, go get them! Vegetarian options: I had a great cauliflower taco.
