I enjoy trying new cafes and when I saw this one popped up in my neighbourhood I just had to try! But… When we first ordered, there was a sort of miscommunication they heard the order wrong and so we had to wait a bit longer for the correct, second plate. The croissant-waffle was marketed as “custard cream” flavoured, and unfortunately turned out to be just a simple whip cream. I really hope that they at least made the croissants themselves but once I received it, it was not warmed up or anything and proved to be difficult to cut with the butter knife, provided. The avocado toast, on the other hand, was aesthetically pleasing, same with the cafe itself. I quite enjoyed the added basil pesto spread on the toast but the other flavours were quite mild. Definitely could’ve used some salt and pepper.
this time I had the croissant waffle and tea and both were decent. the waffle was a bit tough but it tasted fine. I would recommend the Mancha latte here! they have wifi and outlets so it's perfect for studying Parking: hard to find street parking right in front of the cafe but there is usually space in nearby street parking Kid-friendliness: many kids came with their parents
Recently found out that this cafe opened near my home & wanted to try it as i love trying new cafes. The lattes are simply outstanding, and the waffles were delicious, light and fluffy. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. A must-visit for latte and waffle lovers!Recommended dishesBrewed Coffee
I had avocado toast here, and it was topped with basil pesto. The combination was delicious! I also tried a homemade cream latte that you can't find in other cafes, and it was amazing. It's located near my house, so I think I'll be visiting often. I was sad because there was no cafe here, but I'm so happy that this one opened up here.Food: 5/5
Newly opened Cafe Mellow is off to a great start! I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area, there is a city park outside for kids to play while you grab your coffee and baked goods! Also they have ample seating inside, it’s a very warm and welcoming cafe, friendly service, amazing coffee, beautiful French and Spanish style desserts too! Check out the photos of the Basque Style Cheesecake and more to see our experience! I also love that they’re open 7 days a week!
Nice little cafe that serves cakes, croffles, and pastries. We ordered a tea with a slice of strawberry cake and a cream croffle. Desserts were nice and light and not too sweet.Food: 4/5
The croffles are better than they look but the avocado toast was spectacular. Had great flavor, fresh toast, was really impressed. Latte and americano both had great flavor and not diluted. Grapefruitade was refreshing and delightful. They were out of cheesecake though. Can’t wait to come back to try more!Recommended dishesAvocado Basil Toast
Food YUM. Ordered tiramisu. Service slow but I'm not in a hurry the wife was Atmosphere is mellow as the name implies. I would go back to do work there or meet friends. I miss my Korean friends in Toronto
The Walnut Grove area definitely needs more cafes like this so I'm happy to see Mellow opened up a few months ago. Finally had a chance to come and give it a try. The type of cappuccino is a "traditional" type with dry foam and no latte art. The proportion between espresso and milk was more like a latte than a cappuccino, so the taste is more like a latte too. It's not bad, but not stellar either. With tax and tips, the coffee is close to $6; it's a little on the high side in my opinion.
Lovely cafe! Lots of seating options, and the staff are attentive. The basil croffle is so delicious.Food: 5/5
